Worth keeping an eye on Ronald pump prices as was put up with honest Vic in sporting life antepost angle today. I was hoping to wait for his next race but only 20s in a couple of spots so will prob try to get him onside now

I would prefer Lisnagar Oscar who is the same age as RP but is still available with Paddy's at 50s. That is a ridiculous price imo, particularly as he was running a big race LTO but then folded tamely. It was later confirmed he had suffered an overreach injury which could have explained his poor finish.

....33-1 with Sky to win the Christmas Hurdle & Stayers might tempt some.
Iv seen plenty of talk that Paisley park wasn't given a hard race and the jockey took it easy on him
So I thought I'd count to see who was hit with the whip the most
Paisley was given 5 or 6 belts behind the saddle thyme hill only a couple and they didn't look like Richard johnson was hitting the horse hard either
Fascinating to see who comes out on top tomorrow
Paisley Park has always needed to be driven along. He only just got up to win at Haydock a couple of seasons ago off a rating of 147. He's no bridle merchant and the Newbury race would definitely have suited TH more off a slow pace, imo.
Really looking forward to tomorrow's race. It's a no bet race for me but I'd be edging to pushing my chips in on Paisley Park, if forced to have a bet.

You were counting and managed to get "5 or 6", and "a couple".
Not the most accurate analysis
Also, I've never ever seen an angle regarding how hard they hit the horse with the air cushioned whip, I have never considered that to be a factor, I thought it was the sound it made nowadays - either way, it's how they respond to it that is directly linked to how much energy they put in, and that's hard to quantify? I've never been hit with the whip and I'm not a horse, but it's a bit much to think Paisley had a harder race because his jockey used his whip more aggresively.
The bit I do agree with though, is it's "Fascinating to see who comes out on top tomorrow"
Counting the strikes on a low quality race replay isn't an exact science kev
I saw 5 obvious ones and couldn't tell if there was another
You have emphasised the wrong part of the post, which judging by plenty of your posts you are aware of and are just fishing for a response
The point was that PP was hit more often than thyme hill
I actualy found it quite a funny post and couldn't tell if you were being serious...... you said you specifically went to count something and didn't manage it, is that not a little bit funny? Can you see why someone might find that funny? Not laughing at you, it's just a funny thing to read.
I'm not fishing for a response, I am questioning what your point is, I genuinely don't get what you're saying? You think Paisley Park had a harder race because the jockey used the whipe a few more times (exact number unknown) and because to your eye the jockey used the whip harder?
For me...and it's not personal, I'm calling that as I see it, but that is bizarre! Fair play for having your opinion and posting it, but you can't expect an opinion to not be challenged. I wasn't impolite, certainly not intending to hurt your feelings - I just disagree with pretty much every bit of it, as I don't understand where you're connecting the dots?
People have said Paisley park wasn't given a hard race and wasn't ridden hard
But he was hit much more with the stick than thyme hill was
don't appreciate your condescending superior than thou tone is all
Normally id just brush it off and carry on but iv had some bad news today and decided to say something against my better judgement
Will leave it at that
Well again, it wasn't personal and I'm sorry if I've offended you, it certainly wasn't my intention to make you feel inferior. I just disagreed. I wish I hadn't said anything and I'm sorry to hear about your bad news.

I never said you were being personal
Or that I was bothered by you disagreeing, thats the point of a forum
Il make sure to get my abacus out next time I count how many times a horse is hit and get the speed gun on the whip to accurately demonstrate how hard a horse is hit on each individual strike to keep you happy hahaha

You were right to question those that said one was given a harder race, for sure.
Paisley rarely has an easy race, although he did win one of these races easy enough last season.
Not sure the number of whip strikes or guessing how hard they've been hit matters so much though.
I had a friend who often felt I was being patronising towards him and condescending (but I genuinely wasn't, I was often just trying to be sarcastic or funny or make light of something he may have said slightly wrong) - And I'd do this to anyone, not just him.
But for someone who does feel this way from time to time when communicating with others I'd imagine the following would be quite useful.
The (usually subconscious) agenda for the patroniser, is to compensate for some complex of inferiority. If you then get defensive, you have shown that you, too, have something to defend, which gives them an opportunity to feel even “bigger” by getting you even more defensive.
Not saying Kev was intending this BTW.
I did use to abuse this aspect though, then give him a hug, or a pat on the head.
Anything really till he laughed.
He once pronounced Bukkake (Book-cake) - and I had a fucking field day with that one.
