  • Don't know if he's better or will prove better than SDB. probably not.
But Barry was set to ride in the pertemps I reckon.

I fancied Phoenix Way more than Sire Du Berlais last season for the Pertemps. Likely I'd have gotten that wrong (I suppose)?
Although I fancied The Storyteller the most so it isn't worth me checking what I backed.

I half expect SDB to be back in the Pertemps, and that's where I'll expect PW too.... definitely one to watch though.

Thomas Darby still 66s with 365.

                  • Will try again this year at the exact same price, Thistlecrack at 50/1 I just cannot resist!

Ol Tizzard once again says Stayers but just watch he'll ruin it all by reverting him back to fences and makes him crocked again.

It seems like they will run in the trial at Newbury, and if he's not good enough in that, they'll go chasing.
I have a feeling he is probably just a little bit too keen at the moment.

One I'm keen to hear about is Phoenix Way. Very unexposed horse who was favourite for pertemps before missing the race.
priced up at 50's with 365.
No price on exchange though, and they keep ignoring my requests, so they can get fucked.
I'm going to watch out for an entry, as he may be a horse that's in bandages most of the time.
If you go on the A.T.R Stable tours , and click on " Dark Horses ".
There's a write up on Phoenix way there , don't know if it's new or old .

                        • Mullins just said they will have a look at this race for Great White Shark. She wouldn’t be for me as her hurdling technique looks slow and not up to scratch for this level but I’m sure she’ll be popular given connections.

                          • Following Chepstow McFabulous has been given a new rating of 153 (which includes extra credit for the amount he appeared to have in hand over and above the bare result) and is the highest achieved in the race since Silviniaco Conti (also 153), in 2010.

Both these mares did well to win handicaps at the festival without an allowance.
Interesting when they confirm what the plans for the season are, as I'd give both a shout in the stayers.
