I'll be backing the storyteller in running for a place, will try to get on 2-3 out.

What odds do you think / hope he will be?

        That's a very specific strategy...

Funny that as I think he'll travel really well into the race and get outstayed.
Like Supasundae, and also like last seasons pertemps.

Not sure what the time delay is, there's been a couple of cricket comps this week with a 10 sec delay (Sky/BT) which makes life tougher but I have no idea what the ITV feed is...

Good shout this, the delay on ITV vs. RTV is fairly significant, a definite word of caution if you're planning to back in-running whilst watching ITV.

I see him travelling well enough for the first two and a half miles or so but I think the race could get away from him before staying on again. Will open some back orders in increments 14, 16,18 at around 2 out.

I'm trying to figure out where the pace comes from though? I imagine Kemboy and Flooring Porter might take each other on.

Yeah it's a very good point, will be watching the races on RTV and flicking between during intervals.

Would you not just take 20s now then instead?

If you don't think he'll trade bigger than that?

                    • Racing Post quote from Eddie O'Leary

Elliott suggested the runner-up Fury Road might stay at home for a Grade 2 at Fairyhouse but O'Leary has not entirely ruled out a trip to the Cheltenham Festival for the Paddy Power Stayers' Hurdle.

He said: "I thought Fury Road was a bit fresh and that caught him out. He was sick at Christmas. There is plenty of improvement to come and no definite decision has been made with regard to Cheltenham. We'll wait and see until nearer the time to make a final call on it. We also have Diol Ker to consider for the Stayers' as well."

Sorry my fault, I meant in the place market. To be honest I might not get the opportunity if he's still travelling well 2 out. I just have a feeling he'll get left behind before staying on strongly. Don't see him winning but could see him snatching 3rd at the line.

I’m not even sure Gordy actually said he was definitely going to Fairyhouse post race. The post race report in the RP didn’t use quotations and feel there was a chance it may have been concocted from his pre race comments. Might be clutching a bit with that theory but seems such an odd decision considering they have name checked the Stayers all year and you wouldn’t think his under performance at Christmas would be a reason to rule him out when he had a decent enough prep yesterday. Plus you’ve got the proven solid form of the Albert Bartlett horses from last season.
