Cracking race, once it actually got going. Agree regarding Paisley Park, lovely race from him, especially as it probably wasn't run to suit as well. Thyme Hill ran a stormer on seasonal debut, him and PP the stand outs.
Glad I didn't get drawn into the McFabulous specials, I so nearly was but I did have enough small doubts about him staying, so bullet dodged there.
Also I'm really happy how Honest Vic, who had to give them a lead because it was already becoming farcical, stayed on for 5th. If he gets a pace to aim at he could go well in whichever race he runs in at the festival.

On a stiff track like Cheltenham I would prefer PP but couldn't resist the 14/1 on Fury Road after that, given the AB form got such a decent boost.
I can't see me backing any other horses in this now.
Ill be running the numbers on it just to try to try to put any form on context to the runners but no excuses. ( still seen enough in Paisley to keep him inside thou yes)

At least he won the stayers in November eh Lobos, that might be the best it ever gets for McFabulous

Delighted with Thyme Hill, travelled well and picked up nicely, should be some improvement in him too.
Having thrown a few ante post vouchers on the fire in that last week or two and wasted plenty on attempted roll ups it's nice to have a decent boost like that...

Can’t believe my eyes though that I’ve just seen SDB is joint fav with him. SDB may have carried too weight to win the Pertemps but Jesus Christ he’s 7/1 for a championship race? Despite being 9 years old and having his entire career in handicaps.
I know Lobos was very very keen on him at double figures but surely nobody thinks he’s a good price at 7/1? That looks absolutely insane to me.

The large hill looming in March gives me even less reason to think he'd reverse the form with the front 2 IMO, and that's before we factor in what comes over from Ireland. He could improve, of course he could, but I have my reservations.

I don't think I'll buy into the fitness excuse (if they bring that up) - he's definitely shown good enough there today to be worthwhile having onside though which is really pleasing.
I also agree that TH deserves to be favourite. That was a really pleasant surprise (for all that a 7/2 shot can be a surprise).....
I am glad McFabulous was beaten (although soured by having 3 points on him this morning for the special) - Interesting he's going to the Cleeve next, but I agree with someone else above, he didn't see that out well enough and it can't be blamed on fitness.
Fury Road gets a little boost too....
Nothing to lose there, although Lisnager Oscar will need a performance from out of the miracle book to still have a chance. Given he's the reigning champion 50/1 is insulting, however I feel like history will show that was just a freak result. I won't cash him out (unless I can for 100%) and then I'd re-back at 50/1
I thought Thyme Hill won that really, really well...can't wait to watch it back

Great comeback from Paisley Park there, agree with most the pace would have suited Thyme Hill better but maybe the slow pace PP didn’t seem to hit his flat spot did he?
Normally it’s a lot earlier in the race, was going well right into the straight, think the third last Coleman go to work on him. Very encouraging indeed.
Impressed with Thyme Hill as well great run for his comeback, good to see Richard Johnson getting a good in’.
McFabulous by name but that’s about it for me, can’t see anyway he turns the form around with either of the front 2 and add in Fury Road he’s got no chance imo. Slow slow pace and still didn’t see it out. Nicholls surely clutching, race fitness on his side as well.

Surprised PP hasn't shortened more myself. Couldn't really have gone much better considering it wasn't the really stern test he needs. I am feeling quite confident he will reverse the form with the runner up in March, and think he should be clear fav myself. Will definitely be topping up at 6/1.
