Big player, unlucky in the Potato race and doesn’t look the strongest division it’s ever been, can see him being single figures this side of Christmas...

Agree. He is one to keep onside. Could easily go off fav on the day.

      • Wow McFabulous. That hurdling though He'd get a fence with absolute ease, he looked super good over them smaller obstacles.

I haven't backed him, as I wanted him over a fence, and will probably leave him that way for now. Roll on next season.

        • Nice pipeopener for McFabulous there. No more no less. He jumped and travelled and did everything you would expect him to do. Not convinced he is a stayers horse but did it nicely today.

          • You couldn't ask for much more than that - he's barely come off the bridle in his last two outings and beaten some good sorts in the process.

This is my main concern, jumps them hurdlers super fluently, and big, destined for the big ones at some point.

Will make a lovely chaser and definitely one to keep both eyes on when going over fences.

I literally can't wait, he's the most exciting of Nicholls' lot that I am looking forward too. I think he's a little bit classy and would have preferred them not to have stayed over hurdles this season.

                    • Dare I say it, he reminded me of Big Bucks. Backed him before race at 16/1 and very happy with that. He'll be very competitive. Everglow given a very interesting educative ride from Richard and the drift was informative. He'll be very interesting next time and going forward .

I've watched it again and he looks the part to me and I know my onions.

I am not for one minute saying you don't! But lets put it into context he was beating novices today vastly inferior to him. The stayers is another proposition altogether.

I agree, im all over him for the stayers i really liked his run at kempton he seemed to look a different horse very big and strong i think he just has an eye catching running style..but yeh he beat novices and will be interesting to see him in his next couple of races..the 12/1 for the stayers is mad though didnt think hed shorten that much! Glad i took 25s a couple of months back!

At least we have some decent novice hurlers targeting the Stayers this year, with Thyme Hill, Fury Road and McFabulous already in the mix.

Makes a change from those going novice chasing, and failing, switching back to hurdles (inc:Ronald Pump, Lisnagar Oscar & City Island last year).

Much easier to assess the antepost market when horses stay hurdling from the beginning of the season.
