  • Good win for Mister Fisher.
On soft ground, that got him beat the last day.

Very surprised with that win. Deffo put his hat into the Ryanair ring there

Couldn't have been the ground last time after seeing that today. There must have been something else amiss. He surprised me there. Good win.

But, but, but, it's that gluey, sticky type stuff...

            • Fair performance from Mister Fisher. A little bit annoying for me actually.

Was sort of hoping the ground had gone against him and he would plod on to 4th or 5th and be a lively candidate for the plate.

That plan is out of the window now.

For me, he is not quite ryanair class but also too high in the weights to be considered for a festival handicap.

Yep almost certainly a different type of soft ground.
I'd imagine the freshly softened ground angle will be used.

                • Fisher is just a horse i can never catch right, a bit like Black Corton, Back him he loses, dont back him he wins. So for you Ryanair ticket holders i wont be backing him so you will win

                  • Mister Fisher doesn’t race like he’s cruising at any point, he looks like he looked like he was breathing out of both ends for times in that race and his jumping was a bit sketchy. It looked a well run race though so hopefully the time will make the victory look better post race.

                    • Mister Fisher was only just over 4l back in 4th in last year's JLT where De Boinville stated he gave him a bad ride and some race summaries I've read, upgraded his run, so he is a contender for the Ryanair imo.

                      • Not for me. A GD2 horse at best.

Yep, he has to be a contender after that. He didn't jump that great early on so I'd even mark it up a little.

                          • I'm slowly coming round to the idea that a plus tard may be the bet here at the prices

didn't look at his best last year in the race but still wasnt beaten far

he is 6 going on 7 and has only had 9 chase starts so still open to plenty of improvement, very realistic to believe he could improve past Min

he is a horse who doesnt go that well fresh so I was surprised de bromhead didn't get another run into him before the festival

Dont think I need to get on now as he surely wont beat chacun again (hadnt had a prep run last year) over Christmas or his stablemate notebook over 2 miles, hes simply not fast enough

if they overreact and push him out further il definitely add him

                            • I believe they were contemplating on stepping him up in distance with a view to going for the Gold Cup. It'll be interesting where they place him next.

                              • If that was the case he'll surely take up his entry in the savills
