Crowdfunder - Fat Jockey Forum upgrade

Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

Yes I do agree, he's one I am interested in for sure.

I've only backed him in a "Thursday double e/w" with Envoi Allen and one very speculative canadian placed on 14th March 2020 - so it isn't one I've got too involved with yet.

Unfortunately his price is tight considering they may put him in (what I consider) the wrong race. His Ryanair price is alright, not one I've felt I needed to back as a single yet - and I probably won't until he gets an entry.

I always fall for a horse I think won't stay 3m2f as the optimum but would give a great front running ride over 2m5f. Monalee a perfect example.

He's one of the few that I haven't backed TWAR. Not that I don't think he could run anywhere else but the fact that if he did run anywhere else I couldn't fancy him at all. For me, the only race he could win is the Ryanair so I've had a pop on him for that race only. I can just picture him leading from outset and staying there and can't get that out of my head so the 12/1 looks value to me.

Yeah that's fair enough - I don't know what his 'any race price has been but I can't see his optimum trip being 3m2f - and there aren't many horses who win Golds Cups without that being their optimum.

I couldn't have him beating a horse like Santini over that trip on everything I've seen so far, and essentially he's held by Minella Indo on all known form too (hurdles and chases!) Not loads in that clearly, but enough to make it easy to not have him as your main Gold Cup hope.

Does anyone on here actually have him as their main Gold Cup hope? Or has anyone backed him? I'd be surprised but would be great to discuss it as I hope I'm not missing anything.

I can't imagine anyone has him as their GC number 1. If they have then I'd love to hear from them and their reasoning!

Worth noting in the FatJockey thinks thread I did a few weeks ago, not a single person voted Allaho as their Golf Cup winner. However, he was the highest voted horse for the Ryanair.

Not surprising, I've heard his putting needs a lot of work

                • If I had to place a bet today it would be Itchy Feet @ 40/1 EW. Very well supported in the Marsh (7/2) off the back of his Grade 1 win in the Scilly Isles and was unfortunate to unseat rider at the 6th. That was only his third run over fences and he's only 6 so who knows how much improvement there is to come.

I was hovering over Brewinupastorm for here? Or do we think QMCC?

Hasn’t jumped quick/well enough over his fences for me so far, especially for 2m.

Yeah rewatched arkle, wasn't great was he? Maybe just hold fire until see him jump a fence again!

                        • Hopefully Brewinupastorm will get more racing opportunities this season, a injury and lack of appropriate races meant he didn’t race much last season which left him unprepared for the festival. Hopefully he’ll get those opportunities this season and get back to the level expected. I’ve backed him mainly for the Ryanair but he may end up a handicap horse this season instead of a graded performer

Fell at the first and is suddenly 4 times the price of Samcro who won it. Just good value.

I haven't given up on him yet either TKP. It is my understanding he is going to start off in the Haldon Gold Cup before stepping up in trip.
