Hope that helps
I would probably be all over Min if it wasn't for his last run, but with that in mind its hard to split Min and the others. Samcro a decent EW price for a festival winner is probably the way I will go. Melon is great but he never gets his head in front, whereas at least you know Samcro knows how to win a race...

Ruby Walsh on the question on who Townend may ride in the Ryanair
"if you look at it if your Townend, Allaho has won a one beginners chase in a grade 2, Melon has won a beginners chase race, and Melon has 5 grade 1's"
I think Townend will ride Min and once his declared, and if I can see Mins going off shorter
Not keen on backing horses who have pulled up, but Min wasn't jumping as well as he normally does. Pulling him up was the right thing to do in the long run, especially with Cheltenham around the corner

Is it stronger? Not sure it is
Allaho better than A Plus Tard?
Melon vs Min - who would you have over this distance?
Yeah, 10 years old, he's going to have 2-3 lbs off him. I dont particularly like backing 10 year old at the festival but at 6/1, I'd side with Min as long as Townend ride
FYI, my main selection is Fakir. Not much rain this week, ground drying up, fresh ground. I'm siding with the quickest horse in the race, last years runner up in the Arkle.
6 year old have a terrible record in this, but I'm more than ok to take that trend on.
See a few posts about Fakir saying his tripless, and I totally agree... they've ran him in 2 miles which is too short and then 3 miles which is too far. He's had one 2.5 run and he awesome, jumped and travelled so well (5 year old at the time). Supreme 4th, Arkle 2nd. Step up in trip to be the making of him

Allaho, melon, imperial aura, mister fisher, samcro and fakir
Saint calvados wouldve beaten min had he jumped the last better last year and he's back too

imperial aura - handicapper, yes Frodon went on to win one of these after a few seasons as a handicapper. I'd have Frodon ahead of Imperial at the time he won this
mister fisher - grade 2 horse
samcro - got alot to do. Obviously classy, but asking a bit to get him spot on for this
I've got a small AP bet on samcro at 22/1 on the basis that if he turned up he'd be much shorter. Backed purely because I thought he price was wrong a few weeks back
My team is done (documented in my diary)
- Fakir
- Min
- Samcro
What a tough race!!
