    • Has anything come out about Min? He was jumping and travelling as normal til that really freakish looking mis step/slip (others more knowledgeable may be able to point out what happened but that's what it looked like) and pile through the fence shortly before he was pulled up. He had a really odd action to his back left leg which first becomes noticeable between that fence and the previous. Once over the last he jumps, the jockey looks down and sees before immediately pulling up. They've said all is fine I think, but what sort of thing would cause such an action? It's really noticeable and exaggerated, he doesn't appear to be doing it earlier in the race.

Fairly sure after that bad mistake PM simply thought no point pushing him v CPS when he doesn't need to be pushed. Spare him a tough race.

Why not try and whack your own knee against a tree stump and see what your action is like for a few minutes.

im like a lunatic when I stub my toe

My knees are made of granite and trees are a good bunch of lads who I wish no harm, it'd all be a bit daft to be honest. Thank you for your input though.

              Yeah, my favourite
Had some more on Min at 20/1 NRNB in the QMCC again today.

Then when it gets to handicap entry day i'll wonder where my stakes went.

                • In hindsight im glad he got pulled up, i think now at 6/1 is the time to dip back into him! He also goes well after a break so wont cause too much harm

                  • I have been watching replays of Imperial Aura's Unseat at Kempton, his 2 wins this season prior to that and his win over Galvin at Cheltenham last March. Despite the Unseat, he has impressed me with the way he has jumped and travelled in the 3 races prior to Kempton and for me he remains the one to beat in this.

He is the only one that ticks all of the main trends for the race and although 7 year olds have faired a little better (indicating preference for Allaho), 8 year olds have won 2 of the previous 16 runnings of this race, including a certain Imperial Commander in the same silks. If IA can perform anywhere near the level of his partial namesake he would be a worthy winner. The manner of his victories at Carlisle and Ascot if replicated in the Ryanair would IMO give him a leading chance still.

Is being Pulled up value on a 6/1 shot?

I hjaven't checked, but backing horses than PU last time, probably isn't value.... so 6/1 is avoidable?

What price would you make him a good bet at?

Id say usually no it isnt, but this is min i like that he goes well fresh aswell and i think hes still nut and shoulders above any of these in the race again

Not the Min we saw last time.
Nor the Min beating Tornado flyer by a length in the John Durkan.
On form, easy to oppose at 6/1 IMO.

                              Re Imperial Aura.

Currently if you could get 8-1 anywhere with a boost etc, then IMO that would make him a good bet. The main dangers to IA at the moment would IMO be Allaho, an improved Fakir Doudairies and Kemboy (if they come here). Also Min as reigning champion but at as a 10 year old I'm not as worried about him than the aforementioned. Melon will come 2nd anyway .

If waiting until final decs, I suspect that Kemboy probably won't go here, Min possibly could stay at home (no incling of this anywhere so don't panic anyone banking on hm - its just a personal opinion) and Joseph / JP might decide they want another crack at CPS with FD. Should any / all of this hypothesising come to fruition, then I reckon Imperial Aura would have an SP of nearer to 5-1.

                              • Have looked through the latest forfeit stage dec's, have narrowed down the following shortlist:

Allaho - below Grade 1 class. Solid place horse, good back form. Ideal type for this race.
Melon - Festival bridesmaid. Not fully effective at the longer trip. Should go well.
Min - last run not ideal. Won last year. Either runs and wins or doesn't come over. Well being not 100% confirmed.
Samro - the enigma. If Gordy has him back to peak then surely he goes close.
Tornado Flyer - ran over a variety of trips. 1 length behind Min in John Durkan - ahead of Melon & Allaho. Not quick enough for 2m.
Kalashnikov - wild card. Think he could place. No strong argument as to why.

On the basis of the above, I should probably also rate Mister Fisher who's form ties in with several of them but personally just not a horse for me.

Other issue with my shortlist is that surely Willie doesn't run 4 here?!
