The front three hardly had faultless build ups.
It was probably their combined liking for Cheltenham that showed up, and the back class they've shown coming to the fore on the day.
Melon and Samcro may well have disappointing build ups again, only to be competitive come March.
Kind of what I expect to happen anyway. And will bet accordingly.
Yes, we can heighten horses to a belief they are unbeatable after they win a Festival Grade 1.

If that were true then racing would be very boring.

Quevega won a load of Festival Grade 2's, not Grade 1's.

Like being the Championship top scorer year after year. Very good but no one is trying to break it

If Honeysuckle does indeed stay in the mares race, maybe she would attempt it after she wins 2? I mean at what point do you say enoughs enough im moving on to a better race

                    • Easy Game easily beat The Storyteller who otherwise is unbeaten this season when completing. I'd still be disappointed though as a Samcro backer if he wasn't good enough to beat him on Saturday. Samcros record after a break is phenomenal.

                        • Wasn't there word recently as well that Samcro was in good form at home? Compared to last year when you'd swear the horse had Covid before we even knew what Covid was.
