  • I do think it says a lot about how Cilaos Emery came out of his last race that he takes his chance here. Willie seemed fairly sure he'd miss the festival, so I doubt his exploits LTO were felt at all. I think I'll back him EW

If no crowds help him, the 18/1 without CPS for him is a massive price?

If he doesn't act at Cheltenham though, a terrible price!

Placed behind CPS twice though, I'm going to have to chance him to chase CPS home again.... each way.... I like it.
ive done this Kev. Sky had him as the rank outsider of the field yesterday which is a total insult to the horse & his ability. Wrong tactics & ground not suit the last day but that run at Christmas 6 lengths behind the bomb proof fav would be one of the strongest pieces of recent form any of the field will bring to the race. Would have been closer too if they’d jumped the last. He’s looked a totally different horse before his races this year and if all his issue was is crowds and he deals with the course it’s a cracking bet

        • I still dont know how to take that Arkle form

I've been cold about the form, but have recently mad cases for PTKO WITH CPS and Fakir in the Ryanair
Maybe the CPS form line this season is the way to go about this

Notebook has been too bad to be true when running at cheltenham.
It could be the crowd, it could be the environment, or the travel over. Again, looking forward to having this confirmed tomorrow

          • Sceau Royal shortening considerably, I was surprised 20/1 was available for so long, he's a great e/w chance!

            • Dammit, I've missed out on the W/O bet
I have SR at a decent price to win, but struggling to see how a horse that just beat Champ is going to turn over CPS

W/O market the way to go here

              • Surprised no love for First Flow.

IMO he's the only unknown in the race and at 18s is therefore definitely worth a punt

                    4/1+

Jesus, take CPS out the race. It makes for a very very interesting QMCC, with decent odds to go with it

Yeh I have gone with Cilaos Emery @ 6/1.

                      • Will likely look a total mug later but I can't shake the feeling that PTKO could still spring a surprise. Just really hope they go out from the front, let her get into a nice rhythm and at least try to put CPS under pressure.

                        • The way I've played it today is to do forecasts of CPS with Sceau Royal and Rouge Vif. The ground has gone in there favour and I'd expect them to be ridden to place as opposed to trying to win could be similar to Eldorado Allen yesterday.

                            I think that's a good shout

                            • Notebook 40/1 as an absolutely huge disrespect to the horse here. Nothing beats the fav if it jumps round, but this looks like a case of the horse being given no respect because the fav has beaten it twice, if he can prove his issue in the past was the crowds and not the course itself, his form is as good as or better than a lot of these and he’ll have the ground in his favour. Forget the last day, didn’t have his ground and the change in tactics didn’t work. Of interest to place or in the without market for me

                                CPS - PTKO - Notebook
