    Crikey.
Yes bud, it's not just our hcapper that gets carried away then
Likeable horse imo but hard to place now surely.

Yeah, is he consistent enough to definitely run to that mark? You could make a case in the Grand Annual then, but chances are a few are "well in" - Entoucas is current fav isn't he, I think he'd get a swing... it's just too much weight to give away, but he's below Grade 1 winning class for me...

Very tough for him. Shame. Dunno why but he is likeable.

He's a consistent trier but for me his jumping is too hit and miss to run to that level regularly(imo anyway) On his day he's good but if he went the GA and there wasn't 4/5 horses better hcapped than him then i prob won't of backed the winner lol.

        • Just had a .25pt ew on Sizing Pottsie @ 66/1 bet365. Interesting if he takes up his entry in next weekends 44k handicap at Fairyhouse giving 6lb to Chatham Street Lad

          • I do like the idea of Gumball running in the Grand Annual and I’m tempted by 16/1 NRNB. He was no match for Shiskin at Kempton last time but he was running really well at Cheltenham before falling and I think he would have won if he hadn’t fell. I don’t think front running tactics have been that successful in the Grand Annual traditionally from memory which is a negative for Gumball but he’s got to be well handicapped now for it??

Apologies I thought I had posted this in the Grand Annual thread, not sure how it ended up in here, a Terry Fuckwit moment sorry

            • CPS had drifted from 2.70 to 3.20 the last couple of days on the exchanges.

It looks like someone is keen to take him on at the moment. I suppose with the travel issues and his injury record he's one of the short priced favourites that you could take a stance against.

              Thought it was mildly interesting....

Declared Tuesday in a hurdle that the conditions potentially suit him but just highlights it must be tough to place him given he was in the big hcap chase next weekend(possible value to be had in that with him near the head of the markets but irish hcaps not my bag all told).

I'd be taking Min 8/1 NRNB if I hadn't already....

Essentially just tying up funds, but Min wouldn't be anywhere near 8/1 if turning up in the QMCC, and the only way he turns up in the QMCC, is if Chacun Pour Soi is ruled out.

                  • I've been sweet on Sizing Pottsie since he won a bumper at Leopardstown nearly 3 years ago.Been waffling on about him to all my mates SeanRock can attest to this. Had him backed for the Supreme and I think i've backed him in every race he's ran apart from the race he was nabbed by Felix Desjy (thankfully cos I wouldn't have been pleased had he won at 20/1 and I wasn't on).

I thought he was perfect for the Grand Annual and priced him up TWAR back in March but his success this season has surprised me. His mark looks high but he demolished a pretty decent field off top weight at Fairyhouse and with the lack of proper stars in Jessie's stable at present i reckon he'll probably show up for the CC. Especially if the field cuts up and the ground is soft

                    • From RP

Chacun Pour Soi might be one of the warmest ante-post favourites at Cheltenham, but De Bromhead is responsible for two of his biggest dangers and issued upbeat bulletins on Notebook and Put The Kettle On, who finished second and third to the Willie Mullins-trained star in the Paddy's Rewards Club Chase over Christmas.

He said: "Notebook ran a mighty race at Leopardstown over Christmas. We've just entered him in the Champion Chase and we're happy with that.

"Put The Kettle On is really good too. I know she has the option of the mares' chase this season, but she's so effective over two miles that the Champion Chase is hard to ignore. We'll see what happens."

It definitely sounds a bit more up in the air than I previously thought

I see Defi is entered in the Clarence House on Saturday.

Anyone tempted by the 20/1 for this ?

I know his last 2 runs are very worrying but hes done this before hasnt he. If he was to win on Saturday I'd imagine hed be around the 5/1 mark.

                              Something definitely to think about.

Looks an ideal horse for NRNB. Another poor run and he'll not turn up but if he bounces back......
