  • A nice line for PTKO through Rouge Vif there to get another handle on what her form is likely to be in open company.
Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.

Unless of course you feel Rouge Vif didn't run his race in the Arkle (although between us all we've probably done this to death ) and then that line diminishes somewhat.

I'd absolutely love it to be Good/Soft for the QMCC. Anything worse than 'Soft-Good/Soft' and I'm probably cashing in my ticket for him.

      • That was great from Lydia. Those questions needed to be asked, especially the one about not running on soft ground and how that is detrimental to the NH season.

For him to start saying it's a welfare issue is ridiculous and has the potential to paint the sport in a bad picture, imo.

        • Altior to run in the abandoned 2m 5 1/2 furlong Peterborough chase if it is switched to Taunton next Thursday. Ryanair anyone??

            • I like politilogue and he looks solid but after today I'm liking Chacun's chances more and more, hopefully he can put up a nice performance tomorrow. Already 7/2 he'll probably be cut to 2/1 seen as they don't need an excuse to cut a horse these days.

Can't believe they've cut him to 7/2 already . I only backed him last night and he was 9/2. They don't need any reason these days to shorten them up.

Absolutely. Back all the 7lb allowance Mares in the Grade 1’s until the BHA reduce it.

If they win the Champion Hurdle and the Champion Chase then maybe the UK make make that change.

                    Probably very good advice that.

                    • I think that PTKO will do well to finish within 10L of Altior or Chacun Pour Soi.

I wish the bookies were offering odds on that. I'd lump on Kettle to finish within 10 lengths of those 2.

It’s only a 4lb allowance for Mares in French Jump Racing, and if the Mares programme proves that Mares win regularly in open Grade 1 ‘s then the chances are there will be calls to cut it to a similar level to France.

In the meantime we can reap the benefits if we consider the mare is good enough.

Me too, I’d take the 8/1 she currently is to win the race, and instead have it on her getting within 10 lengths.

                            • We’ve got a pretty firm line on Rouge Vif with her. She’s beaten him easily twice. Rouge Vif running in open company against Politologue when the going would have suited Politologue is a pretty obvious form line to look at. Why would you be surprised, or dismissive Lobos?

Probably because I don't like Rouge Vif at all. Yes, I can see where you are coming from.
