Think I need to see Notebook run against something other than Fakir/Cashback
Just not feeling this batch of Arkle horse at the moment, they all appear to disappoint.
Fakir had ideal conditions there but struggled to pick up and never threatened in the last 200 yards. Notebook did well there, shame is Festival form is no where near as good as his home form in Ireland. I think 20/1 for the QMCC is fair.
Do we view that racecourse gallop any differently between Altior and Epatante given the latter sluiced up on Saturday?
Ok, it was a piece of work, we don’t know the weights, Epatante was unextended etc.
However she worked like she travelled on Saturday and Altior was at least able to give her a lead. I ask as with Altior due out in the Tingle on Saturday I think 14/1 is a pretty decent price to win on Saturday and in March?
That’s probably the case irrespective of the gallop but at least we’ve seen him in a piece of work with a very quick horse. And Altior would’ve been a week behind in terms of race fitness...

It might be mad, but the same thought had struck me ....so in mad house too
I’ve already committed to Altior though in various bets.....so not adding more

....I posted the offers on ‘win today’ thread a few hours ago. Altior 14-1 in a couple of places, 10-1 with PP. It was 18-1 with Hills a few weeks back.
Greaneteen is 50-1 & CC.
I think the drop from 18/1 is warranted. Defi has since disappointed and the likely field for the Tingle is weaker that it could’ve been. 14/1 looks good to me.
