That was great from Kettle. She looked like she hated the ground but still found a way to win. Always a sign of a very good horse. She devours that hill. 3 from 3 over 2 miles at Cheltenham. Rock solid. I doubt many would have picked up the leader there . She's a top Mare and currently the one to beat . Up to the old man Altior and the glass man Chancun to see if they have it in them now. Fabulous stuff.
I haven't backed PTKO but I'm sure some of her followers would disagree with some of this.
Are we expecting PTKO to produce a performance first time up in November on that ground that's of QMCC quality? I think its fair to say no.
Whilst CPS is hugely exciting, he's raced 4 times in as many years, had loads of issues and is 9/2 vs 14/1. I'd have the latter every day of the week.
Re Altior, he's going to be 11 next year so its guesswork as to how well he's going to perform, so we don't know how much ground PTKO has to find to be competitive.
I probably agree with you, just putting forward the opposing points
PTKO should improve for this as well. They've been looking for good ground and she's just put in a very gutsy performance on pretty soft stuff. As Aiden said after the race, she's only run once in a year as well. She might prove good enough to beat them, but she will deserve her place.
Yeah, I'm nt disagreeing with that.
I think it's just because she's in the book, job done for me. 1.5 pts e/w at 20/1 and 1.5 pt win at 40/1
Don't need to think about her again, and if I could only have 1 horse in the race it wouldn't be her based on that run. Even at 14/1, I think I'd take Altior or CPS if I could only have 1.
Better ground and her Cheltenham record are definite reasons to be positive on her.

This all day long. Well said. Spot in in my view. She is hugely exciting.
PTKO all guts , personally the new Mares Chase the way to go. Her attitude alone worth a few lengths , you would definately want her in your team when in a battle.
Defi looked to fresh and keen , Ryanair is his race imo , just dont think he has pace agst top notchers over 2M , he has it to prove now.

You'd put the Arkle and Schloer Chase winner over 2 miles, in the Mare Chase?
