He is going to the Shloer first. If he won I'd imagine they would go TC as nice gap between the races and could be that he is a better horse early in the season.

Thanks for highlighting SW. Managed to get 2pts on in shop this morning. Now to get Altior in the book as I think 7/2 is a nice price, as surely they don't go to Ascot for the 2m5f race again.

Altior already confirmed going to TC.

Most likely but not confirmed for sure:

"We are going to go back to the tried and tested route - Tingle Creek and to the Champion Chase. That is the plan, the only variation that might come, is he could go for the two-and-a-half mile race at Aintree or wait for Sandown, or go to Punchestown."

Three week gap, horses usually use the Shloer as fine tuning for the Tingle Creek.
It’s only been a Grade 2 attracting the better horses for a few years.

Defi won both last year, for example, with Politologue 2nd in the Shloer, finishing 5th in the TC.

Perhaps but he's already A1, either way Tingle shaping up to be a cracker hope to seem him there.

                • Le Richebourg is due to make a come back in the Fortria Chase.

Ballyoisin beat A Plus Tard and Hardline last year.
He also won it the year before getting the better of Ordinary World.

Some decent horses in the roll of honour like Flemenstar and Big Zeb - as well as Moscow Flyer

Looks a nice race for him to reappear in.... I am looking forward to seeing him and if he retains hat ability.

                  • I like the idea that he has an array of hats Kev. Maybe a beret at a rakish angle. Sorry its been a long day at work!

                      Hahaha.

Absolutely. Comes out on the Cheltenham Wednesday with a Cowboy hat on... means business.

Altior in a Trilby cos' he thinks he's Tommy Shelby.

Un De Sceaux comes out of retirement in a freaking Fez!

                      • Like that Kev, very good. We better stop now, or we will start a what horse, would wear which hat debate thread. Ha. 6 months with nowhere to go has taken its toll. Hoping Le Richebourg can still be as good as before.

                        • .....will watch Greaneteen this afternoon with a view to whether it can make the step up to this level.

                          • Hoping for a bold show from Greanateen and Global Citizen as there my big price fancies for the QMCC. Think Greenateen has the bigger upside. But hopefully they'll finish 1-2 miles clear of the rest today.

                            • That was fine from Greanteen - he will learn plenty from that, I like how he travelled into the race and he's really knuckled down to pick up the leader. I would say he is a Champion Chase contender on the back of that.
