Any other year id say they'd do that but with the time/opportunities/prize money they've missed because of the Lockdown then I think most will just let these horses go for it.

The Tingle Creek is in 3 weeks, probably worth Double as its the biggest Grade 1 2M chase outside the Champion Chase.

Makes sense to miss today and hope Sandown has ground that is better than todays (already Heavy on Hurdles course today, Chase course could go that way too).

I've been to this meeting for many years and Sunday is almost always bad ground and pissing down with rain.

Given that they've tried to find good ground for PTKO most of the time where they can, this looks such a good opportunity for Defi Du Seuil again today to pick up another 2m pot.

Some people on here over the summer were baffled at WHY they would aim him at 2 mile races.... even before this race goes off today, surely they're justified in attempting the same route for the first half of the season at least?

Yep, fully justified to try him over 2 again. I do think though that today their minds will be made up by PTKO. I think she will pop it, make all, jump brilliantly from fence to fence and pull away at the end winning with her head in her chest and be promoted to Champion Chase favourite. That'll do nicely.

Fingers crossed..... can't see it being that easy. Defi closing at the line would be my best guess rather than PTKO running away at the line, but I'm not going to back him to do that today.
