Confused as to if Monalee can travel or not with restrictions... anyone know?
I would have thought not and they have declared as not sure themselves how it will play out.

      • Running santini in the king George so that champ can run in the cotswold chase id guess

        • Which suggests there's been some kind of hold up with Champ and he needs more time. Neither would particularly be suited by the King George, but of the two you'd think Santini would be the least suited. If Champ was fit and well the runs would surly be the other way round, or Champ would have gone to Ireland as they planned.

Is there a 5 mile chase somewhere next Tuesday?

That would be an horrendous prep for a second season chaser, attempting to win the blue ribband and who has already proved to have jumping issues....

They'll lap him won't they? Poor thing.

Haha, I wouldn't have thought so.... he got close enough to Topofthegame in his novice year for it to not be awful form.

Whatever he does, he has a better chance at Cheltenham than at Kempton...

As you like to say though, if he did win at Kempton though, he'd go short here...

The two horses I've backed in the King George, aren't Gold Cup winners in waiting for me... that's Clan Des Obeaux and Real Steel!

                        !
It was probably the Boxing Day novice chase that put Santini on our radar 2 years ago, staying on well but not having the pace to win, so why does Hendo think that two years later he has a better chance over the same C&D against better horses ?
It's never easy to know what goes on at Seven Barrows but there have either been setbacks or he's avoiding a clash with other stable stars, all very frustrating because he can't win a King George but will finish 4th/5th and they'll celebrate a great run in an unsuitable race that puts him spot on...

Surely owners can’t be happy with that could see santini getting lapped around kempton

That's exactly what it is. Fits in nice for a run on half decent ground and they'll pick up some nice 4th/5th place prize money.
