Seriously though, I am surprised you still bet at all; on balance of what you've said? [About your own gambling] Even more surprised that you encourage others to bet, and most staggering of all, you "tip" things.
I think you're a scary and dangerous man.Last edited by Kevloaf; 12 February 2021, 01:34 AM.

Having looked through the latest forfeit stage decs I have narrowed the runners down to the following shortlist:
Al Boum Photo - reigning champ. Identical prep to previous years. Hard to knock.
A Plus Tard - potential to improve at the trip, excellent festival form.
Minella Indo - hasn't lived up to expectations this year. Still has it to prove in larger field open company. Can't totally write off, especially if Rachel rides.
Champ - Not ideal prep, but can't write off until we see him. Jumping a concern but talent is undoubtedly there and if ever connections want one to win a Gold Cup it is him.
Lostintranslation - have posted reasons further up thread.
Native River - love the horse. Can't realistically see him winning but a race ran to suit could see him still there business end. If he wins then Dicky retires on the spot! Maybe?
In my opinion, everything else either doesn't run or isn't good enough. Won't be looking outside of the above and have already backed 4 out of the 6.

With have this with Goshen
Can anyone recall a horse going into winning at cheltenham (grade 1) who's campaign has fell apart
Annie Power came back in Feb to go on to win the Champion Hurdle. Not sure whether she really fits this category, Mullins know to get these right with just the one run or none at all (Quevega)
Cant thing of many of the top of my head
A mess campaign can only be a negative, and a big one where it comes to a novice horse with jumping issues going straight into a race like the Gold Cup!
