Really sucked out any enjoyment of a fantastic race for me seeing Minella Indo go out like that, tbh. No bet in the race today but absolutely frustrating not to even get a clue about how he’d have fared against these. Fair play to the winner and looks like he’ll be suited by Cheltenham much more than the 2nd and 3rd. Hopefully MI is okay and can emulate the mighty don cossack.

Incredible race. Was messy in parts, and some didn't or couldn't run their race but it lived up to the hype beforehand for me.
I'm sure Melon will line up in the Irish Gold Cup. 100% worth another go at the trip after today. He can always drop back into the Ryanair after.
It does look like the trip will find him out. But the plus point is things looked to have finally clicked with the horse and he has found some much needed consistency.
It was surely a career best today which followed a more than decent 3rd place in the John Durkan behind Min. Cheltenham and the festival will bring out the best in him so there should be some improvement there. Patrick onboard sems to be a match made in heaven too and i'm sure given the strength of depth in the yard, Mullins be keen to give Patrick a live GC hope. Don't see any concern with the owners running 2 in the race either. For all it's another opponent for ABP...it's another chance in the race to win 3 Gold Cups in a row for the owner.
Also backed A Plus Tard post race at 16's. More than fair. However you spin that race, he's won, looking like the distance will suit, as a 6 year old. Unexposed at the trip.
Fine festival record. Was able to beat (albeit a below par?) Chacun Pour Soi over 2 miles last season. Big player in the race now for sure

He said he got a bit outpaced between 3 and 2 out in the Ryanair too.

Allaho, completely agree.... he didn't stay it well enough to suggest he wants further and the owners literally had the winner staying best of all, so he's now a Ryanair runner IMO. (WHich I did think beforehand)

First proper post from me, but I think Patrick Mullins cost Melon the Marsh with his tentative jump at the last - lost all momentum and let Samcro back in. He's done the same today at the second last fence - not saying he'd have won with a positive jump, but certainly cost him lengths.

Problem could be that a bit like frodon last year Min may be too quick and take him out of his comfort zone
