Can't have APT for this at that price absolutely no way. Very weird race albeit very exciting. I'd rather side with Melon at a much sweeter price.

APT finishing best, Melon ran really well but surely you can't think an extra 2f up a hil lwill suit, more likely confirmed his splot in the Ryanair IMO.

When big guns don't get round the result can always look odd but it's NH racing not Royal Ascot, that said I'd like to think Minella Indo is still a player come March...

Melon and cheltenham good for a few lengths at least
I didn't realise Melon was as short as 20, I thought I saw 25s. 16s vs 20s might be a lean towards the CPS horse, fair enough.

I'd be very surprised if Patrick doesn't rise Melon in the Goldcup after that.
I was pleased with the result as have APT @90-1 having believed he may improve for a trip.
And although they both fell, it means Delta Work and Minella Indo will still likely turn up.
The race result does mean we may get more runners in the Gold cup now.
Not sure about Allaho, and Townend seemed to take it very easy on him.
He stayed better than a lot of them in what looked a very well run race.
But he may well be Ryanair bound now, as APT & Melon will surely go for Gold.

Yeah it's not like Willie is short for Ryanair runners is it, could give Patrick a spin. I won't be cashing him out.... he'll be placing not be winning anyway so don't suppose it matters haha
I just don't think you can take much from the race tbh, as odd as Lexus renewal as you'll find.
Seems to happen a lot in Ireland that the jockeys let a small group of horses get miles clear and dont really try to reel them back in until far too late
Lovely finish from APT he’s definitely threw his hat into the Gold Cup ring. Loves Cheltenham and will be an interesting player come the big day. Minella and Delta would of definitely been in the shake up but you have to jump! Heart break for Kemboy who doesn’t like Cheltenham and doesn’t stay the trip. Melon doesn’t stay and definitely won’t get up that Cheltenham hill. Rest not good enough or need dropping. Wouldn’t give up on Minella.

To be fair, Melon's not beaten as far as I've made out....however, still don't think the extra 2 furlongs will help him... he doesn't look a dour stayer... Ryanair would be a much better chance for him, but that doesn't mean Willie won't let Patrick go for Gold with him...
