He doesn't have to improve much to be bang there, and at the start of the season I'd heard he was the novice hurdler they were most excited about. His run at Clonmel had them scratching there heads, but he put it right second time and they were still left with a gift of a mark to exploit at the Festival. Given all the riches at Willies disposal it made sense to use his mark to split them up and go for the County.

The cats out the bag now so he surely goes Champion Hurdle. I hope so anyway as I'm nicely invested at 33's and 25's.

Kev / Spectre agree entirely about Saint Roi. Still think the current prices could be good value. Both Ruby and Barry said he is a proper horse or words to that effect. I particularly liked Barry's quote as I dont think he tends to talk horses up unless he' s seriously impressed.

I do think Saint Roi will end up in the Churdle and have backed him accordingly . Unless anything happens to Epatante I don't see Barry jumping ship though ! JP would love a 1-2. He adores the race.

No Ebor for Goshen, with Moore saying he is quite ground dependent, could mean a lighter flat campaign that would do his Champion Hurdle chances no harm. Still not for me at 5/1 but wish I got some of the smart prices a few others on here have.

That could be a great shout. This would lend well with Moore saying he will only have one or two runs over hurdles as there arent many races for him. Win the Cesarwitch in October, have a prep race for the CH over Christmas/Jan then run in the big one in March. Would be a good request a bet double to win the Cesarwitch and Champion Hurdle. Would make up for those of us who have missed the fancy prices.

If he stated he's working backwards from the Champion Hurdle it makes a little bit more sense, but still off-putting!

Seems Moore is quite undecided on where to go with him other than the champion hurdle.

Doesn’t fill you with much confidence given his ridiculous price!

Wonder if he is possibly easing him into open company? Not trying to make excuses for him but we all know very few juveniles come out next season firing.

Moore has been on the juice again I think. Wasn't HE the one that talked up the Ebor?? Sounds like he's going to mess this beast around.

It seems the obvious race to me and it's a decent pot. Detroit City won the Cesarewitch off 94 after winning the Triumph and Countrywide Flame almost did the same off 88 (finished 2nd). Goshen looks to be a much better horse than CF and is potentially superior to DC too.

Skybet have only offered 8/1, which isn't of any interest unless they announced the Ces as the target.

They seem to accept that he is not well handicapped (158) to go for the Greatwood at Cheltenham in November. However there is a more obvious race at Wincanton in early November. The grade2 Unibet for 4yo +. He wouldn't carry a penalty as he hasn't won a graded race. Then if he was good enough the Christmas hurdle at Kempton and etc.

I'm not convinced they see him as a serious contender for the CH and are pot hunting in flat handicaps, where he is probably 10lbs well in
