Am with you Epatante, she is entitled to improve as much as Aba and Saint Roi. Maybe I am oversimplifying this race but I really cant see anything else other than those 3 winning and at 9/2 having been there and done it, she's a good price for me. It is just a question of when I back her really.

I think the 9/2 her and the 6/1 Al Boum are the standout prices around. They really should be quite a bit shorter. I honestly am surprised.

No spin involved - Fact is - they're not better - YET.
At this stage, in comparison to last year, they're inferior.

Just some people think they may prove better.
        We'll see.
If Abacadabras had run in the Champion Hurdle this year he’d have improved the field. Would you disagree with that?

It's one of those ones where the answer should be yes (certainly so on the clock), but we really can't know.

I'd say Yes he'd have improved it, most horses would have IMO.
But that's not what I was discussing.
It was the relative merits of the up and comers from the last 2 seasons.

Klassical Dream would have improved the previous years Champion Hurdle. & Samcro the year before that.

To remind you, It's this statement I took issue with.
It's Just not factual and more of an opinion.
One that may prove correct in time.
I wouldn't strongly disagree with it myself (the opinion that is).

But I'd be more towards the less likely side as over the years there have been horses with stronger credentials that have not made the step up. But on the flip side there have been others that have improved substantially.

It is. But I've had more fun with this.

                          • Added Concertista @ 27/1. I think she could be the real deal.

Not worried that Willie was talking about a step up in trip for her prior to the Mares Novice Chase?

It's stopped me backing her... although I do want to, and did attempt to get her in the book with a a double over the summer which only placed...so I have 2 pts at 15/4 for her to place

I might try and back something with her tomorrow actually. Hadn't thought about her for a bit.

Do you not think the mares novice was shit this year ?
And what about her form in other races last year - shit also.

The manner of the win was awesome looking but may well have been flattering due to the pace collapse I reckon.
And you can get 40's plus on exchange. For small stakes.

I wouldn't rule her out, but she's fairly exposed and needs to find a fair bit to win a champion hurdle surely.
Course form (which counts for plenty) is excellent though (albeit at a low level)
