      We discussed on your thread
I wouldn’t want much on concertista although she has a chance.
even if bdd doesn’t turn up I’d fancy roksana or ddc more.
so at the odds the clever bet wasn’t for me.
she could be the real deal though.
I’ve just decided it’s no deal

Cheeky so and so. Backed Galvin TWAR very early but put him up for NHC. Wrote a book about him and his perfect profile for the race and posted it

        • It’s a good story, but I think you’ll find back in early July on post 77 on the TWAR on the Hills movers and shakers post I told you to back him for the NH Chase and why he had the perfect profile Lobos, You wanted to back him any race at the time.

At the start of the season I thought the likes of Abracadabras and Saint Roi would put Honeysuckle away in todays race.
How wrong was I. They haven't kicked on anywhere close to what I imagined (though Aba at least can take some positives out of today)
And 2 miles was no bother whatsoever for the mare.

Fair play Lobos Called it right from the very start, and against the majority

Yeah, a good bit of teamwork. Here's my post that started it all off........

A certain horse won his first novice chase during a long summer racing campaign in 2016 , winning at Killarney along the way and unseated when fav at that years Galway Festival. The following March that horse ran away with the NHC. The horses name.....Tiger Roll. Ravenhill took a similar route before winning this year's race. Cause of Causes ran all summer long again taking in Killarney and the Galway Festival before finishing a close 2nd in the Kim Muir in 2014. Hang on a minute....Chicago Grey won the 2011 NHC after another summer trip round the Irish tracks visiting Killarney and the Galway Festival. So shock horror, Gordon , who trained all these animals does have a peculiar history of preparing horses for the festival in this way. How strange. Can lightning strike again with Galvin ???? Perhaps it's not all guesswork with me after all.

                • It’s the same principle as Saxon Warrior’s excellent thread tracking horses for specific races. Trainers are creatures of habit, and it’s worth looking at the patterns. They’re not always right, but it’s usually a good guide. The timing of the campaign and Ronnie Bartlett owning him was too much of a coincidence. You were on to him nice and early and the price looks fantastic now.

I admit to being surprised but not at the mare winning ! The manner in her victory and the superb ride by RB was breathtaking and I for one (although praying to go Mares Hurdle initially) , and on that evidence have no problem with the Champion Hurdle ! No matter the result SHE is a brilliant mare and a champion in my eyes.......Rachel xxx good luck ❤

                    • Someone's added Asterion Forlonge to the Champion hurdle (needs supplementing) with William Hill @ 50-1.

                      Imagine that.
I know one or two on here would go mental.

If he falls again today then surely a shot to nothing if they want him to come to the festival... either way I wouldnt be backing him and personally cant see him at the festival

I've backed at big prices for the stayers so a fall will do me fine.
But I agree that he'd be very unlikely to go anywhere at all, especially the champion hurdle I'd have thought.

Mullins could end up spiting himself here. Just let the CH go, Honey is just too good for his lot and he also has Epatante in the mix.
He'll focus on the other grade 1's, and pick up the CH next year with some fresh talent
