Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

  • I was in the unsure camp rather than the anti-camp, but that was really good from Honeysuckle and it wasn't hard to be impressed. No issue with the drop back in trip whatsoever, and her jumping was excellent. Well done to those that were balls-out on her beforehand, and particualrly Lobos who has been vocal about her for a long time.

Also well done to Kev too for shouting up the Honeysuckle DRF and Concertista double too. That 6.14/1 is looking very good given Concertista may have a penalty kick, so thanks for highlighting.
Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.

    • Best i have seen her today, has to be the Champion Hurdle now based on that. Hopefully a fully tuned Epatante shows up and it should be a cracker

      • Think if it was ever in doubt James Du Berlais will 100% likely to be coming here now eh?!

3 Mullins runners don’t look good enough from what we’ve seen. Reversing the form on either Honeysuckle or Epatante from last year looks a long way off.

Yeh sounds like there going to have a crack with JDB at the race.

As u say might need him after that

          • I did see a special at one point that a mare would win the CH.

            I think it was 6/4

Which is worse than dutching them yourself probably, so not sure why I'm bringing it up

            • Not that it will have been noticed given the winner performance, but a far better performance from Abracadabras today.

Still very interested in him being in a shake up on good spring ground at Cheltenham you know.

Would be interested to know if Gordon thinks he would come forward for today given how he scoped last time.

You under estimate people... I think someone has backed him after the race

I agree, he's not a no hoper, although understandably, you wouldn't get carried away as she just definitely has more ability.

                    Quote or opinion on JDB?

Cheers Kev - it was a really good step back in the right direction but full credit to Honey she has looked top class for a while now.

Abracadabras will never beat her on soft but if it was Cheltenham good to soft, I think it will be closer. She needed the 2 and a half last year and quicker ground over 2m might be the one chink in her armour- if there is one.

If you see any comments on Abra from Gordon please do share them with me!

                      • Could concertista switch here and leave benie as willies main dart for the MH? Not seen anything to suggest it just curious as to others thoughts..

This wouldn’t surprise me? Or both Concertista and BDD going to the mares. As Willie has Elimay who would look a strong face for the Mares Chase. I think if WPs main dart for the Mares hurdle was Concertista. Skelton would Probably send Roksana to the race.

im still not comepletely sold on Concertistas form... she’s definitely looks to be improving but beating Minella Melody a few times does not make you rock solid

My fear of this reshuffling is why I had a silly trixie on honeysuckle (CH) benie (MH) elimay (MC) at the start of the week

To cover my double with honey/Concertista and benie in the chase

Well played Lobos. Thought of you after she crossed the line. Superb. And a fantastic ride from Blackmore once again.

Toom 4s after the race. Think she’s probably the one to beat now.

Still think Benie would have beaten her with a better ride last year though..
