  • Just trying to get a few bets on before the runs this weekend. What price do we think Epatante will go if winning as an 8/13 shot should on Saturday?

Plenty seem happy to lay her at circa evens on the exchange tonight if you fancy a bit, just a heads up as mentioned on another thread.

cheers outlaw.. was trying to gauge the CH price assuming she wins the fighting fifth in a manner most would expect.. 2/1 was my guess

Well if she is indeed 2/1 post race(and assuming wins) and you can get evens for sat the roll up makes 5/1 so an option if it tickles your fancy. Even if she went 6/4(4/1) it still is better than the 3/1 on offer should someone be trying to get her onside.

            • No saldier in the hattons grace. Cashed out on him for a 5% loss. Seriously considering backing epatante now before her run tomorrow, nothing beats her does it?

              • What is going on with Saldier?! Just radio silence on him... anyone got any scraps of news to keep me slightly interested?

                • I am sticking with him, which I may regret., my reasons why:

I reckon Mullins is happy to possibly get just one run into him prior to Cheltenham. Whether that is at Xmas or DRF. We all know he goes well fresh, proven with the Grade 1 win last season after a long break. Is only 6 going on 7 for cheltenham. Has had very few runs so there could still be plenty of improvement from what we have already seen.

Giving him one run prior to the Cheltenham festival also gives plenty time for recovery, if that is part of the problem.

Time will tell, just my thoughts on it. Although not ideal missing Sundays race, hopefully no setback again.

                  • Yes the worry is a setback. Best move for me is cash out, take the small loss, and then maybe back him again if nothing comes out about an injury and he’s entered over Christmas or whenever.

I’ve done the same Toni. I can’t see his price changing much between now and getting a final declaration somewhere.

                      • May not help but Saldier is entered for Matheson hurdle G1 over 2ml on 29th December Leopardstown

                        • I'd rather Saldier skipped the Hattons Grace than try and take Honeysuckle on fto over that trip.

My thoughts exactly FM! One run at Christmas and straight to the Festival will do me nicely.

Willie has sent plenty of his number one Champion Hurdle contenders to this in the past so definitely wouldn't be a negative.

Yeh I am leaning this way CCM but I'd like some fu*king noise from WPM on the matter. These entries and withdrawals without a peep do leave him a ?
