Yep that, plus trainer saying he needs stepping up in trip
Think he’s a real threat in the Turners.

Never doubt the truth from a man who has a lovely price on one race but not the other

      • We don’t know the ground and if all other runners make it

Dec worth some doubles cover both ways

I do think he will likely go Turners as Willie sealer in that race and he has already said he thinks that’s the better race for him

But - we have been here before & anyone be definitive on what direction he will go is not learning from history

        • Useful discussion above and looking at more, I’ve increased my position on Kawa for Supreme

I don’t think he goes there, but if he does it’s prob cos of changes with other runners ….which makes 12-1 NRNB value & also adds nice doubles

It’s the annual bingo time & often pays well to embrace & try to turn changes into more profit

            • William Munny (15:40 Punchestown)

Would be a nice way to get Workahead - Supreme in

              About 19/1 NRNB

Could equally look at C'est Et Chance with James's Gate for the Turners too, although more risky, of course

              55/1 NRNB for this atm

Add the Cromwell second fav in the opener to make a treble and you’re laughing

Nice! I've done the William Munny form 4 fold with BFSB freebie.

                  William Munny tomorrow
                  Workahead Supreme
                  Kawaboomga Turners
                  Yellow Clay Albert Bartlett

I didn’t do this with the meeting being cancelled last week but just seen the Cromwell horse has won at 9/2! Won both chase starts since finishing third behind WM and workahead.

WM very well fancied to win shortly so would have been a lovely related treble to get workahead at a big price for small stakes.

I only did WM as well, but good shout!

                      Hopefully someone, somewhere got on

There’s a good few formlines now that tie in the novice races. Definitely thinking of playing some Workahead, Boomga, Jasmin each way trebles. Even throw WM in for the Surpeme.

                        • Probably mentioned before but the Barry O'Connoll treble is 3569/1

                          William Munny (Supreme)
                          Marine Nationale (QMCC)
                          Nine Graces (Kim Muir)

An emotional Connell said: “The first thing I want to say is that we’re all thinking about Michael and his family today. This is the first winner in those colours since.

"This horse has been doing everything wrong in his hurdle races. He’s been way too keen, making mistakes and he’s still running to figures to suggest that he’s there or thereabouts winning a Supreme Novices’ Hurdle.

“Today he settled away better and jumped better. He has so much natural ability this horse that he can’t understand why the riders want to take him back. He’s hardly having a blow there today, that was his last piece of work before the Supreme.

“He’s put himself right in the picture there.

“We (also) have Marine Nationale for the Champion Chase and Nine Graces for the Kim Muir. Marine Nationale came out of his last run at Leopardstown excellent. He’s improving 10lb every time he runs because he’s effectively a novice.

“I think he will step forward. He loves the spring and he’s a course and distance winner on the Old course and his temperament is bombproof. When he won the Supreme Novice it rained a lot the night before and the ground was tacky but better ground would be a help.

“I wouldn’t swap him for anything in the race, I think he’s definitely the best Irish horse going over there, whether he beats Jonbon or not is another matter but he’s in great nick."
I have done this is an e/w trixie - I just like the man .... wouldn't send unless he thought they'd win... and I hope they do

                          • I'm with you in this Kev but I've added Jazzy Matty Grand Annual for the Lucky 15. Sentimental bet but Cheltenham is made of great Sentimental stories. I'm only asking for one more

                            • People will hate this....

                              Bleu De Vassy
                              Turners Novices' Hurdle, 50/1

We're going to step him up in trip and go for the Turners. He wasn't right when sixth over two miles at Leopardstown last time and he's much better than the bare form of that run. I think more of a test might suit him.

I was just looking to cover for my Turners book, and thought, why don't I like him that much?

Well, because Romeo Coolio walloped him... 9L

Obviously so did Kopek Des Bordes

So for small stakes, if either of the above won the Supreme, I'd think Bleu De Vassy might have a squeak .... if they don't, there is next to no chance that he pops up in the Turners

                              Romeo / De Vassy - 305/1
                              Kopek Des Vassy - 91/1

                              Both Unibet

I'm inclined to go with the above rather than Bleu De Vassy outright

                              0.25 pt e/w
                              0.75 pt e/w

Rather than 1 pt e/w at 50/1 is my thought process

                              • ….posted this yesterday before the Naiad, Pauling mentions Henry’s Friend for Ultima but seems particularly keen on Pic Roc.

                                Bit less certain about Pic Roc’s target but shortest for NHC. Ben Pauling related double;

                                Henry’s Friend (Ultima)
                                Pic Roc (NHC)
