Very interesting race and you'd have to say pretty crazy that all three runners in that 2 miler have a better chance of winning at Cheltenham than any of the UK's 2 milers which says a lot about the state of UK racing...
Best Novice Hurdle this season by far

Will have Tsunami effects on the markets.

      Kaid D'authie - Supreme & Koktail Divin - Turners @ 314/1

With Koktail Divin in a maiden on Saturday and Kaid D'authie in against Kopek at the DRF, the double is likely to be a different price in 10 days time. Either way...

Slightly concerned for Koktail Divin on Saturday given Henry's recent form to be honest. Couple more beaten favs today and nothing even within 20 lengths of winning!

For clarity 1st and 2nd in a Leopardstown maiden over Christmas is the relationship... Rather than both being KD
I like this maiden & have a feeling Kaid D will win the supreme. Along with this double, I’ve also had a few future related multis linking to the proposed 2m G1 at the DRF: Kaid (supreme), Kopek (turners), Karafon (pipe) - would add in Karniquet for the County too but can’t see it priced up anywhere. Genuinely feel that race could throw up multi festival winners as in the recent past

      • The Cleeve hurdle tomorrow is a race I'm willing to let crambo win without having a bet on him, for me he is a bit on the short side having disappointed on his only previous outing at Cheltenham.

in fact the highest rpr achieved in a hurdle race at Cheltenham by any of these is a 151 for botox has when 6th of 7 in last years race.

Gowel road although looking a bit short on ratings, his course form, consistency and that he has been beaten by an improver on each occasion this season makes him appeal most to me at the prices.
His last 3 rprs of 145, for me can be marked up a couple of lbs for being beaten by an improving horse.

He's not a huge price, 9/2 at sky bet, and a single bet on him doesn't interest me, as hes also qualified for the pertemps and could be looking to lose a couple lbs.
But id be gutted if he won and i didnt have a small play on the double with lucky place for the stayers, especially considering I've played the related double for the pertemps and stayers for small stakes.

And if he wins today there's no way he goes pertemps.

59.5/1 skybet (lucky place nrnb 10/1)

I'm playing this because if gowel road wins, im 75% sure the bookies cut lucky place.

        • ….its Friday so I’m using my Friday Hills boost on a couple of Friday Festival selections. Both popular on here, both have doubts about their participation (although positive trainer comments regarding the first, whilst the latter might qualify to run this weekend). Both could end up near favourite if they turn up but NRNB takes away the risk;

          Only by Night (Mares Chase)
          Con’s Rock (Hunter Chase)

          137-1 Hills NRNB.

          • Kawaboomga tomorrow 2-1 & Kopek turners 10-1 B365 probably looks the best related double for tomorrows maiden IMO
Could be wrong as looks a good race, and ruling Henrys out on account of stable form and Munny on account i don't rate him as highly.

Interesting market. Not much consensus with the bookies at the moment. Kawaboomga ranging from 11/10 to 7/4. KD 6/4 to 9/4. WM 13/8 to 2/1.

Henry's form is a worry, as well as I'm not sure 2m is what KD needs. Should have put him in the 2m4 maiden against that woeful field.

William Munny isn't good enough IMO - beat Cest Ta Chance a shd and then 2 horses that needed 3 miles in his 2nd bumper. Murdered at Punchestown and Leopardstown after.

Kawaboomga should be good enough here and 7/4 is still value for me. Overexposed on Kopek so just play the single.

              • Kocktail Divin 11/10 with 365, and 9/4 with hills!

                Kawaboomga - 7/4 with 365 and 5/4 with others.

                Strange markets.

                • I’ve taken Kawaboomga. Henry’s form is 2 winners from 38 runners in the last 14 days, and one of those was fortunate in Beckett Rock. 6 favs in that time too.

I’ve cashed a bit of my Koktail Divin antepost bet too in the hope he gets beat and pushed out. I’ll forgive whatever he does tomorrow.

                  • Good luck to Kawaboomga for the 100/1 backers

                    • With this 2:13 Fairyhouse maiden today, where do people think the winner will go? IE straight to Cheltenham, or is there a graded race they could run in before? Don't mind these good maidens early in the season but it is too close to Cheltenham in my mind now to get the graded experience often required.

Bit fortunate with the mistake of Crambo?
Good call with the winner though.

                            • Krak and Kalix Delabarriere were both well beaten by Kaid D'Authie at Christmas

Them turning over a dream to share today will be interesting

10/1 ish for them today with Kaid D'Authie at the DRF perhaps?

Would put you in a strong position to play with Kopek Des Bordes etc

I'm half tempted by half stake on both ...... maybe I'm hugely underestimating A Dream To Share though

                              • Ahead of the Nathaniel Lacy, I’m quite tempted by Supersundae and The Yellow Clay (Turners). Pays 44/1 with PP.

Final Demand could be great, or the form line might be inferior. Worth a small play to find out.
