Absolutely agree. Over thinking and over covering is probably a bad habit for sure.
I blame the fuckers entering him - to tease.
Willing to run 3x single figure horses in the same race
Closer to no chance than possible for me, and I love this kind of shit
I'd also be feeling the wrong way around, that Lullamba winning not making me more confident in Palladium. His flat forms a bit wanky as well. If Joseph can't make these flat horses stars, then Hendo can't
Maybe over the next few hours I convince myself I want to back Palladium though

It's actually just that I think Palladium is nowhere near good enough and they won't be moving the short priced Triumph fav no matter what, as Palladium won't be anywhere near fav for the Triumph .... so even without Mundi, I don't see it
Let's see tomorrow when Palladium makes 2/9 looks dicey

If palladium gives nico a terrific feel tomorrow he'll do all he can to ride both, wont he?
I dont think mundi comes in to the equation, just as state man wouldnt if anything happened to the hill and gino needed to step in to the champion hurdle.
A proper taking performance tomorrow, does it become more possible for you?

I don't think I can possibly see a 'proper taking performance' tomorrow.... anything other than 10L on the bridle and it's pretty poor .... and is that the kind of prep I want for a festival race?
Granted he's got experience on the flat.
I suppose if he jumped like Lough Derg Spirit then I'd re-assess, yes
Can get 250/1 on the double at the moment and I've still not pulled the trigger, which is rare for me
I will give it some proper, proper thought in the next half hour

You can get 50/1 on Hiddenvalley Lake winning tomorrow with Crambo for the Stayers
Which each way makes some appeal to me, for a horse I'm not on
Seperated by a head last time
They're both 16/1 best price outright
you can only get 33/1 HVL to do the double
So 50/1 for the horse that beat him if he won, is relative value on that at least
.........and it's with a cash out so always a chance to get some pennies backLast edited by Kevloaf; 22 January 2025, 09:26 PM.

I may have posted this before but fuck it...
Kaid D'authie - Supreme & Koktail Divin - Turners @ 314/1
With Koktail Divin in a maiden on Saturday and Kaid D'authie in against Kopek at the DRF, the double is likely to be a different price in 10 days time. Either way...
Slightly concerned for Koktail Divin on Saturday given Henry's recent form to be honest. Couple more beaten favs today and nothing even within 20 lengths of winning!
For clarity 1st and 2nd in a Leopardstown maiden over Christmas is the relationship... Rather than both being KD

Rather than both being KDWe opened a similar thread at this time last year and it seemed to work out well, so let’s have our ‘25 Novice Hurdle discussion in here covering The Supreme, Gallagher and Albert Bartlett.
Thought the same when they crossed the line, chanced it back then, think somewhere around the same odds tbh
Henrys form deeply concerning though

Kawaboomga (supreme), kopek (turners) from one of the other maidens
And then there's the related double of William munny winning Saturday with Workahead (supreme).
Very interesting race and you'd have to say pretty crazy that all three runners in that 2 miler have a better chance of winning at Cheltenham than any of the UK's 2 milers which says a lot about the state of UK racing...
