Watched both their races back tonight and agree that IEP looks the more speedier type and that going out in distance would likely see further improvement from DR. Splitting those two does look the right thing to do as it wouldn't disadvantage them at all imo.

      • ….despite Rob Acheson suggesting Gerri wouldn’t go NHC, Elliott is targeting the Ten Up Chase for this one (see stable tour thread). Perhaps a little Robcour related double with Gentlemansgame BANC might be worth an interest - around 160-1 with Lads boost.

Did highlight this when it was 509/1 but got a little shot down

Just don't see GMG being good enough on what he's shown but then again the BANC looks a desperately open and dare I say it average race this year so anything is possible.

              On what basis Lobos?

Won well on chase debut beating a race fit mullins horse despite IAM doing plenty wrong, it was pretty comfortable for GMG.

150 rated hurdler and only beaten 3L by Klassical dream whilst beating the likes of SDB, Paisley etc.

I think he's hugely overpriced still in what could be a very sub standard year for the BANC.

On the Lobos basis........just what I've seen visually. Just don't see him having the class to win a BANC. He'll find 2/3 too good imo.

Interesting take, especially if Gerri and GDM don't turn up, theres naff all in there of GMG's quality imo.

I am maximus is useless let's be honest

                    And gentlemensgame didn't jump great

I'd expect him to struggle if he runs in the flogas, be interesting to see where he goes next

if gerri colombe wins the ten up with any kind of authority can only see him in the BANC myself

I do think both of those will run.

GMG didnt jump great? slightly harsh I'd say. He's probably flicked through maybe 3/4 of them but didn't make any notable errors, I had to go rewatch the race myself just then as I didn't seem to remember him not jumping well.

I'd agree he will struggle slightly against the t3 in the betting who are more pacey types but 3m will be right up his street.

                        • ….Mouse Morris might have two live ones with French Dynamite (Ry) & GMG (BANC). It could be blown out the water if FD bombs tomorrow but the Double is around 440-1 with 365 cash-out.

                              • I did like these comments re Sir G........

'After the fourth last when he sent him up the inside he said it clicked in and it was like turning on the turbo, he turned into a racehorse who wanted to race. From there it was very impressive and when Paul told me that, I thought it was a good performance then."

Proves that he has still got the necessary engine to hopefully be competitive in any race.
