  • Doddiethegreat (Coral Cup) & L'eau Du Sud (County) - Betfair Hurdle 4th & 2nd respectively. The 3rd (Go Dante) has come out and won the Imperial Cup, since, and the 5th (Faivoir) finished 2nd in the Imperial Cup, behind Go Dante.

    Solid enough form lines.

I'm liking this one, i backed l'eau du sud for the county straight after go dante won on Saturday so would be rude not to back doddie as well.

Wednesday, we'll probably get extra places in both as well (worth bearing in mind)

You don't need extra places when they just win

100% - mentioned that one on the handicap thread after Go Dante won. The UK handicap is form is very interlinked and looking decent this season. I also like Impose Toi in the same vein and Denmansacre posted some more depth to that.

            • I can't be backing any of Nicky's until he shows the green shoots of recovery. His only runner since March 2nd finished 5th today (4th in the betting) beaten 20 lengths.

What is his form historically like pre-festival?
It can often be patchy for a lot of trainers as they're running all their muck.

                • It's more of a concern that he's had no runners for over a week to establish form. That can't be normal at this stage of the season.

                  • 2 rides for Harry Cobden, both single figures tomorrow and both holes in my book

                    Trelawne (Ultima)
                    Liari (Boodles)

and then he happens to be on another hole for me, single figures again, Liberty Hunter (Grand Annual) the next day.

I did the trelawne and liari double earlier, 365 boosted liari to 10's.

                      • I'd previously done Lark In The Morning with Embassy Gardens, but tonight have added Ose Partir with Embassy Gardens at 44/1 ... each way, cos I'm scum.

Hedging as my Corbetts Cross position is much better but thought I should have both running for me

                            • The fighting fifth 1-2 each way double.

Not so sleepy was arguably better than ever when winning the grade 1 earlier in the season in pretty testing conditions.

love envoi runner up that day was doing her best work at the end of the race after a lay off.

with it having rained now for several hours Cheltenham today should see ideal conditions for both horses.

I don't think I'll be collecting on the win part but the each way part would be around 24/1

Just to note this one landed

Placed in every race (in the markets above)

5.7 pts stake, 45.4 pts returned

Good day for the punters today obviously but Elliott / Kennedy riding well .... can see me doing the same again Wed/Thur/Fri

The Paul Townend Yankee landed but not for me

The Danny Mullins one returned 95% of stake too

and the Rachel one had a winner and a place
