  • The chat in the novice hurdles thread earlier convinced me that an each way double with The Jukebox Man in the Challow and Gidleigh Park in the Ballymore is a good idea

            • I’m thinking of doubling Bob (today) and Irish Point (Stayers). If Bob wins, he’s surely done enough to take the mantle on for the Aintree Hurdle. Which frees up Irish Point to have a shot at the Stayers. If not, then I suspect Irish Point may be kept for Aintree.

Price for Irish Point unlikely to be affected following the result of the Relkeel, so you could get 21.5/1 by taking the Superboost (365) and 13/2 for IP with Skybet.

              • Maybe better to use Hills EE. Irish Point is 4/1 NRMB which is very good imo.

wouldnt be any shorter than that on the day provided the horses that are expected to turn up will?

                  Teahupoo
                  Theleme
                  Impaire et passe
                  Sir Gerhard
                  Crambo

Barring injuries etc, this could be a race where you can get some proper horses at very nice odds.

                  • That's not the point though Darlo. If he doesn't run then money back. 4/1 including that option is brilliant.

                    IEP Stayers ???!!!!

What I'm saying is you'll get 4/1 on the day for him if he turns up, IF the above all turn up, which is very likely barring injury obviously.

Billy kindly told us Stayers was on the radar in the summer if Champ hdle route doesn't go to plan.

                      • The owner of IEP suggested the stayers was definitely an option now, after getting beat by State Man. Think he was speaking with Chapman other day on telly.
It's a no brainer, and his price has been shortening since the interview.

                        • And don't forget Vauban, be interesting to hear if he is back in training or gets back in the next few weeks.

                          • Cheers Guys. Big chance if he stays but worth taking.

                            • Still think Ballyburn goes Ballymore but would feel pretty exposed in my Supreme book if Ile Atlantique bolted up in the Lawlers… 25/1 for the Ile Atlantique Lawlers / Ballyburn Supreme (NRNB) double seems good cover

                              • With Down Memory Lane and Mirazur West disappointing lto the JP brigade is looking, for the time being at least, a little less deep in talent now. It appears that A Dream To Share may make an appearance soon. There are two scenarios. 1 he disappoints or doesn’t set the world on fire in which case he is out of the picture or 2 he wins and jumps impressively. If the latter transpires connections could consider splitting him and Jeriko. Both the Jockey and trainer have alluded to JDRs stamina and so stepping JDR up could be discussed. JDR prices for the Ballymore fluctuate wildly and interestingly Unibet are the second lowest of all the non nrnb firms.

For those with PP accounts the ADTS supreme , JDR Ballymore double pays 188/1.

Many of us may be exposed to ADTS coming firmly back into the supreme picture and similarly many of us would be exposed to JDR stepping up. This is potentially an affordable way to mitigate a little for both events.
