Edwardstone to win on Sunday with Jonbon in the Ryanair is the clever play, if you fancy Edwardstone.

Jonbon to win on Sunday and Edwardstone to win the Ryanair is more likely to happen, but a risk that Edwardstone loses and drifts for the Ryanair so it's sub optimal

Or you could back them for the QMCC/Ryanair reverse double, but I don't like those kinds of bets before they run, I like to see them both run well and the bookies get a price wrong, or under estimate the form and then the related part is a strong formline

Not sure which you meant, but on the radar definitely

Tend to think Jonbon will go QM if at all poss …JP never won it

I like Edwardstone for Ryanair so that will be part play

Obviously more dead bets after, but this is often value way to get horses into your book ….,whether that’s using the actual race or Arkle/Turners doubles

it also takes a lot of stress out later in season when we reach Bingo time

Surely you're almost better doing nothing on Saturday then reviewing market moves afterwards. Than playing three doubles from the same race, on horses that probably take up near on 100% in that market anyway?

          • General point on “bingo” opportunities

I like to take stress out and lean into Mullins bingo (& others sometimes), with doubles or just long odds (exchange goo) on second most likely race

Prob been area win most on in recent years ….and it takes stress out and becomes fun when it happens

Best example prob when Appr It went Supreme (was always likely anyway as raced at 2 m) ..,,the double with Bob in particular was dreamy

Obviously not for everyone as get loads dead bets….but at low stakes it’s quite fun

One I was considering too. Just not sure she’s got her ground.

Another I’m considering is Tellherthename and Jango Baie.

                • Jonbon today and Edwardstone for the Ryanair at 32/1

Jonbon QMCC / Edwardstone Ryanair 146/1

and 29/1 for Edwardstone today and Jonbon for the Ryanair

It's 104/1 for Edwardstone QMCC / Jonbon Ryanair

                  I like the first two

LIke this. Put up a Luccia single bet in the other section earlier on this morning, so makes sense for me to cover this angle as not got Youwearitwell in any bet.

                      96.5 /1 with WH

Have got on too, as had no interest in the Greatwood so far

I do like Edwardstone as a dark one for the Ryanair.
I don't know is the honest answer to that.... sometimes they do, and sometimes they don't

My thought was, that as Edwardstone already had the seed of the Ryanair in his past (and this pre season) as an option, they're unlikely to over react - or less likely.

Obviously depends on how he gets beaten, if beaten

They wouldn't push him to 33/1 though regardless would they?

                        • They don't need to do they? Just play Jonbon as a single and then roll the winnings onto whatever Edwardstone gets pushed out to?

I agree that he's likely to get pushed out in 90% of scenarios where he's beaten here. Never been too fashionable has he...

Although yesterday's Facile Vega and In the pocket doubles must've gone about as well as possible to be fair.

Perfectly feasible, although with cashout I can't see Jonbon winning and not being able to get out of it, and again I'm not sure you'll get better than 32/1 (unless you roll the superboost evens) ....

To be honest it's a lot of effort for a horse (in Edwardstone) that's not likely to be single figures for the Ryanair on the day of the race regardless

                            I'll probably cash it out

                            • If his 3 rivals turn up today on their best form then Jonbon could be vulnerable.
So just in case, I’ve done the 3 to win today and Jonbon Ryanair doubles for small stakes.
Hope they all lose, as I want Jonbon in the QM , but if one does come in I could have a nice price for Jonbon Ryanair

                              • Can't think that the Soft , sticky conditions today will be to Jonbons liking and the only times he's been beaten have both been at Cheltenham admitably against superstars. If Edwardstone is back to his best he could trouble Jonbon especially taking into account how good he looked in the Tingle Creek when fresh on his first start. Lovely interesting race.
