….I was in the local old man’s boozer one Saturday night after ‘Some Horse’ won. It was quiet, Jamie Redknapp was in there (he lived with a local family) along with Jason McAteer (drinking Guinness) and Fowler. No mobiles in those days, McAteer was constantly using the pay phone next to the bar. They must have had a right touch, Ruddock came in with biggest wedge of money I’ve ever seen.
That group were always in there, they were no bother.

That's where I took my inspiration for my username from. Robbie Fowler was my favourite player when I was a kid and I knew he and McManaman owned 'Some Horse' from reading his autobiography. They had 'Another Horse' too.
Didn't realise it was that long ago until you mentioned Neil Ruddock was still around then! You must have loved the derbies back then Eggs, I wish I could scrub the names of Bjorn Tore Kvarme and Danny Cadamarteri from my memory

….I know that’s where your user name originated, so I thought I’d recall the story for you. I’ve never ‘loved’ the Derby matches & I’ve watched them since the early ‘60s. Regardless, I’m trying to forget about Everton for a few hours this Sunday morning!!

Fortunately Chelts is around the corner.
Oops, apologies, I have only just seen the results from the 3pm matches from yesterday was reading my Cheltenham guide Saturday afternoon and they completely passed me by. You're definitely best trying to forget!
