He'll be the horse I use to set the standard... and see how many are able to reach his level being "well-in".

I haven't yet, but I'll be surprised if I come up with enough to strongly feel he won't be in the places at least.
Id be worried a little him having a claimer up as he's not the easiest of rides. BG gave him the ride of the festival when he won first time when any other jock would have given up

            24. Think he's going to struggle to get in at number 33 myself

He'll be fine. 9 will drop out.

For the last 30 minutes I've been going down the list, researching online for each horse to see if trainer/connections have commented on whether they were likely to take up their engagement in this race or not.

I'm currently down to No. 12 on the list - Third Wind, and haven't come across any comments regarding the other 11 above that insinuate they are definitively looking elsewhere.

I was hoping/expecting to have found a few at least with comments that they'll be going elsewhere by No.12, but the fact I haven't so far does make me nervous for Dunboyne let alone Remastered.

Did exactly the same thing OTF! So many above him won't have many other options and owners won't want to give up the chance of a Festival runner. He's definitely odds on to miss out.

Claimer in name only. He’s ridden hundreds of PTP winners, won at the festival & is after redemption like Elliott after last yrs riding dead horse video - the script is set….I’ve been all over SDB since he entered him a Warwick & I honestly think he’ll go off fav

When I saw Dunboyne was No. 30 on the list I thought, great, he'll get in. Now, after looking into the higher rated horses, I'm not so sure. Struggling to find any comments from connections/trainers from the first 24 on the list that says they are going to go elsewhere.

I think Pricewise in the RP is doing a Cheltenham Handicappers piece and selections this week. These weekly pieces usually have quotes from trainers regarding horses and targets appropriate to the race(s) covered. I'm hoping we might get some quotes in this piece for the Pertemps and get some running plans from the connections of horses entered.

Edit - or the RP Cheltenham Festival Guide being released this week could also provide relevant information on running plans

Just going by experience from previous years.

I've got this week's winning Lottery numbers though if you want them......

Surely Brinkley will be a sacrificial lamb for one if they have any sense!

Couldnt have said it better myself Splinterboy82

A net 149 (taking off 7lb) has made me laugh out loud, with joy.

I think Gordon was just as happy, the GB capper dropped him 2lb for his Warwick qualifier.

Can see me using the 2/1 to place with Sky (5 places, NRNB) to build a few multis around.
