  • Charles Byrnes at a preview night in Dubai gave Shoot First as his nap of the meeting

Over there with Johnny Dineen and Shark Hanlon

The publicans that brought them over to do the preview are involved with the horse

For fellow Irish here, lads you couldn't get anymore Celtic tiger than that. Shipping your customers off to Dubai FFS. Betting now joins in the slippery slope of sportswashing.

….my lad was out there for a few years & played football for Dubai Irish. I was a regular visitor and didn’t need an excuse to join them in the bar. Good times.

I have been looking at him...think he was unlucky in his first run, finding traffic at crucial stage but finished best horse and then in the shoot first race kept wide all the way and I think finished well.

it's out me off slightly that jonjo has said plan wasn't to put him away but he's had niggles...however said this week he's pleased with his work

Jumped on him quite early for the race, not heard an awful lot about him since that last run. Certainly an E/W shout in my view.

I have him covers at 20s and am most involved with Maxxum but am now leaning towards Shoot First but have missed the price

Shoot First is going to win on the bridle

                            • Im surprised at the love for Shoot First.... he's the best part of a stone worse off with An Tailleur and Salvador Ziggy, and you'd have to presume both weren't trying their absolute best that day. Just confirming form with those behind him is going to be a big enough ask.
