It's something punters should be made aware of as it doesn't seem to be common knowledge.

In horse racing, an ante-post bet is one placed before the runners are confirmed at the final declaration stage. ... Bookmakers usually offer ante-post betting markets for big races right up the final declaration stage (24 to 48 hours before the off), when they switch to a non-runner no-bet or non-runner money-back market.1 Jun 2021

You can only help people that want to be helped.
Why would so many people try and be putting you away Chris?
Why would I choose, as the owner of the forum, to try and mislead people with my original point?
Why would so many people give you explanations about this specific scenario?
Do you think it's all a big conspiracy?
Why haven't you got a face

Chris if we have had bets AP which have then been balloted out and bookmakers have given us our money back, I would venture you may be wrong

basically as this isn’t the fault of the punter, Bookies give you your Antepost money back.
Some auto do it, some you need to chase but it’s 100% how balloted out bets are settled. Had it happen with me well over 20+ times in the last 5-10 years.
