Min was lucky to win that race Townsend did a great job blocking SC off year older can’t see it myself
Huge Min fan myself, but agree and do think SC would have potentially won the Ryanair had he not been blocked.
I have to wonder how much is left in the tank with Min, despite finally hitting a festival win, wonder if they might move him out in trip further yet again next season, GC?

Couldn’t see that. He barely stays the Ryanair trip. He’s a million to stay 3m 2f
Min’s target has to be the Ryanair but if Faugheen is still around and running well he may well turn out to be Ricci’s dart at that one and as we know Ricci tried separating his whenever he can.
Can see Min landing in the Queen Mother if Chacun’s fragility shows up again but don’t see him being tested over a Gold Cup trip.
He’s be too high for a handicap attempt that’s for sure...

It would stretch his stamina to the max, admittedly, but it wouldn't surprise me if they give it a go, failing that wait for Aintree.
Either way, I don't think I can have Min again for next season, and this coming from someone who has stuck up for him from day 1 (against Altior, which was clearly an error on my part )

I'll be surprised if we see Min over the minimum trip again, or at least win a race over 2m again.
For the QMCC I think it will be CPS/Annamix for RR, CPS the obvious number 1 currently, then WPM has Cilaos Emery, Cash Back, Duc Des Genievres (who is probably more likely to drop in trip than Min, IMO) & Melon (probably stay at intermediate trip).

I just don't see a way Min is dropped back now.
Yeah it’s probably Ryanair or wait for Aintree but you can bet your life Min gets a QM entry and should anything happen to Chacun there will be a decision to make...
It's insane to think they'd skip the festival to have a crack at Aintree, when he's a festival winner now.
I'm also sure we'll see Min over 2m again at some point... the Irish calender makes that highly likely.
You couldn't rule out him running in the QMCC and he'll have the entry until the last minute.... but as far as Willie Mullins risks go, I personally don't see Min in the Ryanair as a big one of them.

In your opinion?
I don't think I can have him again for the Ryanair, I'd rather be on Saint Calvados at the prices. This was his year for me.
It's unlikely they would 'wait for Aintree', that I agree, but it was home to his best performance, IMO, and he'll be 10 next season, so wonder if they might preserve him a little longer, by targeting the lesser demanding track. Just thoughts put out there, obviously nothing is a given this far out anyway.
If you can name me one horse from history that has 'skipped' Cheltenham the year after winning a race (let alone a Grade 1) for a target at Aintree then I'll say it's my opinion.
It can literally never have happened without injury.
Willie Mullins and Rich Ricci, to say ... nah we want to win at Aintree more cos he was better there?
**** off chaps.
Honestly, think about what you're saying. There is NO CHANCE Min will skip Cheltenham unless he's injured. It is a given, even this far out
There is more chance of him running in the Champion Hurdle than skipping the festival altogether

It is still an opinion, although I can see what you are saying.
The point Ryanair or nowhere for Min stands for me, whilst I’m convinced he would have dropped into the QM had Chacun’s injury/issue ruled him out a day or two earlier it’s not a trip I think they’ll target and I personally don’t see him stepping up to a Gold Cup trip.
Two things to possibly consider, Ricci doesn’t like pitting two of his against each other especially 2 of his best, whether that means Min would sidestep the race in favour of a Faugheen is unlikely but still something to consider.
And Min is rising 10, small possibility he will start to need longer periods between races and with Dublin taking place 5/6 weeks earlier there is a small chance that impacts his Spring plans.
Unlikely of course but you’d be foolish not to consider all the risks before getting involved...
I like Min but i backed APT with the idea that if he dont win it this year he will next year..i think APT not running at the DRF hurt his chances. it was a long time Between his race against CPS and the Ryanair so hopefully with a better campaign he will be the one to beat
Do you think there's a chance they might keep A Plus Tard and Allaho apart. Allaho seems like he wants 2 and a half miles so could they keep APT to 2 miles or even try 3 miles again. The one time he tried it he was well beat in third but it was right handed which we now know he doesn't perform as well right handed.
I think the fact they sent Allaho RSA suggests they see him as a Gold Cup horse next year and A Plus Tard has shown his best over the intermediate trip, and whilst people consider his Ryanair effort a failure he wasn’t beaten far and could easily be good enough next year...
