Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

Whats people's thought on his ideal distance and target?
He'll need a trip, IMO, but that ranges anything from 2m 4f to 3m+ I guess, which only rules out minimum distances.

Target wise, I was hoping they was going to get him out early part of December, and then again at Christmas, in order to work on a mark for a handicap at the festival, however if he's showing enough at home, which we have to assume he is at this stage, then possibly the Bartlett over the Ballymore for me. Has close form ties with Fury Road from the P2P they contested. He is also by the same sire as Farouk D'Alene, FWIW.

    • No entry for Dusart on boxing day. He misses Ascot and now Kempton, that's a slight worry

Hmm, that is a slight concern. Quite a few options still though, could run under a penalty in another novice hurdle for experience, or you've got the Tolworth (not my ideal option), and then the Sidney Banks, which Shishkin won last season before winning the Supreme.

Also entered up over 2 miles on the 26th
keeping an eye out for him myself
will wait for a confirmed declaration before playing
a staying chaser in the making

          • Micro manage has an entry in a maiden hurdle on Boxing Day at Leopardstown. Noticed that he is 20/1 for the Supreme with 365 but 22/1 (with Hills boost) TWAR. Thought this seemed fair for anyone who wanted to get him onside

            • Oh i like that! Ill back him before boxing day..really not looking at ballyadam as my winner for the supreme! And dusart he didnt do anything wrong, but soaring glory has been beaten in similar fashion now so the performance doesnt look as good as we first thought!

I’m almost positive that Alex Hammond said on sky sports racing on Friday that Henderson wasn’t quite happy with him which is why he didn’t run at Ascot.

Not sure if I could find the clip but did anyone else hear her say it on Friday?

Cheers Craigy - that would make sense.

Yeah if my memory serves me correctly Nicky said he was a bit "quiet in himself" but didn't scope badly.

Waiting for the scramble when he's entered up in the Challow tomorrow...

There is an interesting runner for Gary Moore in the Kempton race who, if he takes to jumping, could be an above average recruit who will be match fit from his time on the flat. Natural History reached 101 on the flat with Andrew Balding and will be one of the higher rated flat horses to go jumping this season (purchased in the HIT sale for 105,000 GNS in October). He is very unexposed too with only seven career starts so that may not have been his ceiling either. He does have a fragile background though and was off the track for 2 years before returning on the flat in September this year where he ran three times and progressed from 88 to 101. His pedigree is not the strongest from a traditional NH perspective but his dam was a good stayer on the flat (OR 103) and some of her progeny have gone jumping, albeit not to a great level. However, this is (I believe) her first progeny by Nathaniel and he's already sired two festival winners from his limited runners.

I doubt I'll be betting him ante post but he's certainly interesting.

He is very interesting JackieMoon33 .

Could be a tough start to life over hurdles in that company should they all show up, however he could well be campaigned with a handicap in mind for his first season over obstacles before developing further. As you noted, not many miles on the clock, and likely improvement expected.
