Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

    • Just shows you never know how good a maiden hurdle is until next time out

We all thought that was a rubbish race

You never know ferny hollow and bob olinger could both be useless

Probably people laying off on this forum. Good luck if you're taking pennies on Betfair as any sign.

My bets on him are pretty much down with no cashout, at the end of the day we are all relying that one mans word is true at the moment, he may or may not be right. I did manage to get a bet cashed on 365 for the Ballymore at 14s but he is still that anyway so can go back in if this blows over.

Firstly nobody said serious injury, secondly if there was anything official it would be in the "quotes" thread etc.
Await xmas entries or checking back daily, it is a rumour as of now and folk should treat it as that as eluded too the other day.

                • Interested to see if Gallyhill takes up his entry at Cheltenham on Friday. Has another entry over further but if he takes up the Cheltenham entry that'll be the same race Chantry House won last year. Not going to pretend to know a lot about him but one of those horses I've seen talked up on Twitter and stuff a few times. Good be a player in the Supreme market if he's actually any good.

                  • Sounds like Star Gate will not be aimed high this season as trainer thinks he's one for the future.

Yeah, Evan himself seemed quick to dismiss the form of the win which was tad strange. Must be reading this forum and think well i've no chance vs the big 3

Do Williams and/or the Ruckers ever have many runners at the Festival? Have either ever had a Festival winner?

On what he has shown so far you would think Star Gate is well worth a shot at something like the Challow and after that who knows? If he were to win that then the Ballymore might be that much harder to ignore.

I think they’ve had a few over the years but not many. Esprit Du Large in the Arkle last year and Kings Odessy in the Plate previous. I think Evan will have a throw at a Festival race if he thinks the entry is worth it as he did with Silver Streak in the Churdle, he doesn’t appear the type of trainer whose obsessed with having runners at the Festival though so like Nicky Richards when he does send one they tend to be competitive.

                          • Im really struggling with the supreme now! I dont fancy ballyadam for it at all i dont think hes beaten much in the royal bond and visually wasnt all that..i dont fancy anything else near the top of the market either im pretty deep into ferny hollow but im hoping theres not much behind the rumours..i have a feeling mullins has sent the winner out already but like alot of his it seems this year will of massively needed the run?!

                            • It's still very possible we haven't seen the winner of the Supreme out yet. Better to build a position rather than nail your colours to the mast as this early stage I'd suggest.
Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.

I think that's a similar position to how a lot of people feel.

I agree with Spectre above and I won't be nailing my colours to the mast yet either.

I've had a few swings at some and nothing has come off yet really. No need to panic though, of all the races at the festival, the Supreme is probably one you'd have the best chance in on the day. The number of bookmaker offers, enhanced players, sign ups etc mean you do probably get a fair crack at it without a penny ante post.

I acknowledge perhaps the offers may be worse this year than previous however I wouldn't count on that either.

If someone made me pick 'the most likely winner' now, I wouldn't really be able to muster up anything exciting at all.
