He could be the Martin Pipe horse

    • Disappointing run from Farouk but really think he needs a good end to end gallop to be seen at his best, that was a snails pace which contributed to him jumping to his right & turned into a sprint which was never gonna suit him.

Disappointing nonetheless but I’m not gonna give up on him for the AB until we see him over a truly run 3m!

      • Loved the Fire Attack performance, less so that of Farouk D'Alene, who would be more akin to a handicap than a top novice hurdle.

Praying they choose to go down in trip next time out with Fire Attack, who I really like.

Funny how one race can change things. Yesterday the fear was Fire Attack would be the handicapper and Farouk was the good thing

          • Fakiera looked the best horse in that race.
            Barely priced up anywhere.
            Has experience too.
            Not gonna back him though.

            • Shame for backers they've likely blown Fakiera's mark for the Martin Pipe there.

              • Re-backed fire attack for supreme after cashing out for stake back the other day. Could only get 43 not the 50s and had to go on the exchange so no straightforward way out of it, but looks like he good be good down on trip. Jumped like a natural, very good debut.

                • Cashed out of my Ballymore bets for Farouk - going to leave the Bartlett bets for now until I see him over 3m.

Just was an odd entry given the quotes, I don't think that was too hard to fathom.

Farouk obviously too slow, I think a few of us had this wrong.

On breeding he'd be of interest. But the form of his French bumper win hasn't amounted to much at all. Happy to oppose him, for now.
Still opposed, beaten easily enough at 4/7. RR will have better to come.

I'd imagine we see him next at limerick over 3 miles at christmas, same as Fury Road.
Fury Road would have got beat in an average Monksfield, it was a non entity this race last year.

I mistakenly backed Farouk last time due to William Hill cheating with their betslip odds, which they are still doing.

They leave the bigger price on the site, and when you add to the slip it's changed, but so small as not to notice it if you're not being careful. And no warning banner saying price has changed. They did the same with Imperial Aura yesterday, and even though I logged in and out the race odds still had the bigger price.

                        Anyhow,
Bartlett looks more likely race for Farouk, I reckon, although a handicap may also be on the agenda now. But I think a graded novice at 3 miles over christmas should be the next outing.

Farouk looked very awkward at times and not travelling so comfortable. I’m not one for excuses but it will be interesting to see if there are any post race comments. Prices are back to where they started so at least the cash out is still ok.

I clocked that with Hills the shit bags, I noticed fortunately but easy to miss it

Yeah, maybe he'll end up the handicapper

Lord knows, I'm lost a little bit with all the bloody Gigginstown horses

                              • At least Mullins managed to get one of his French novice hurdlers to win this weekend. Does anyone have any thoughts on Ganapathi after that win today? I don’t recall him being mentioned previously so I’m not sure what to make of it.
