I agree he didn’t look slow at Punchestown but he looked a good strong galloping type that I like for the AB.
I did say on the ante-post thread that if Bartlett is desperate for a runner he can throw in Stattler. Crosshill looks in a different league to that plodder.
Last year I think I was in a minority of one (I usually am) arguing that Asterion Forlonge should have gone Ballymore. Now Mullins agrees. Trainers don't always get it right.

He got well beaten in the Supreme because he was too slow. Had he have jumped straight which was always a doubt he wouldn't have gone close. The longer trip would have given him a better option and for me he would have been more of a threat than the second and third who are no better than Grade 2 horses.

but i saw in my Tracker , he also has an entry in the Royal Bond @ 2m next sunday ??.
