Hello Fat Jockeys,

No hope lost yet, and Envoi started off over 2m, I guess I was just hoping for a little bit of an easier starting point

          Bob Olinger v Ferny.

          • I think betfair exchange shows all racing for free British and Irish. You just need to be logged in. Don't even need a bet on to watch,

            • Also on BOBO 20/1 for the Bally and Keskonrisk 50/1 for the Supreme EW singles plus a tiny EW double on them together too.

Shame there isn't a third contender to measure the performance although it seems inevitable that bookmakers will cut the price of one or the other. I would side with Bob Olinger because he looked by far the more straightforward although in terms of making Grade 1 hurdlers the bumper form of both is questionable.

                • Coqolino hasn't exactly franked Bob Olinger's form but Friday should be very interesting.

This is very true, something that disappointed me a little, that said, Bob Olinger probably could have beat Coqolino by double the distance he did had Patrick pushed the button earlier, he didn't need to though, and he pretty much done it on the bridle, so I'd be taking the distance Coqolino was behind Bob Olinger with a pinch of salt.

I'd also note the horses behind the likes of Envoi Allen, City Island & Samcro, the last three Ballymore winners, on their respective bumper debuts, with the exception of one or two (mostly from Envoi Allens bumper) a lot of them were ordinary at best.

                    • What do we reckon for opening prices for Friday then? I’ll go:

                      4/9 - Ferny
                      5/2 - Bob Ollinger
                      14/1 - BAR

I think Ferny will open fav, but I'd go more with 8/11, 2/1

If BO is 7/4 or bigger, I’ll almost definitely be backing him tbh.

Me too. Setting aside the ability I think BO has, Ferny can race very keenly and it wouldn't be the first time he's turned over at odd's on

Henry is in desperate form and Ferney is a very difficult ride. Its a race to watch but not one to bet on.

You are probably right. Personally, I'd love for Ferny to get turned over and unimpress
