I’m finding myself agreeing with you far too much tonight. One of us must be drunk

    • I think you can read too much into the trips of some of these novices early in their career sometimes.
Willie's mentioned it loads of times.

You have to put all the clues together not just the obvious clue.
Sometimes though it is staring you in the face.
IMO it is in this case.
And it was with Commander of Fleet.

Plenty of Ab winners start off at 2m and we all know over in Ireland especially lots of horses run over a variety of trips early doors.

Yeah exactly the same Q. Backed him for the Bartlett and Any Race as well, so have that covered should he go the handicap route.

          • So when Eskylane wins the County Hurdle......

It's because he's actually a stayer and the New course played to his stamina?

Can we bring athletics into the discussion?

                  • Codd says Ballyadam is working the house down at home on this weeks racing riot and whilst he’s strongly suggested Supreme in all the things I’ve read so far he gives the impression they don’t have a preconceived direction for him at this stage.

                      • I really do need to top up on Ballyadam. Only got 1pt on him @ 20/1 for the Ballymore and in a TWAR double with Ferney. He's far too short for a TWAR single bet so I'm going to have to decide whether to back him for the Supreme or top up for the Ballymore. Need some inspiration.

                        • Killer Kane starts off his journey today at Aintree (I think COD and Kev have backed him). Whilst he is also skipping his bumper season like they did with The Big Breakaway, Killer Kane is actually the same age as he did not run in his point as a 4yo like TBB did. I’m not going to get on board the train as he’s likely to be a horse for next season which is why they’re not messing around with bumpers. Interesting that he’s only 4th in the betting though as there does not seem to be a stand out in the race.

                          • Killer Kane been in my tracker for a long time and been waiting for a notification of a run. So was delighted when pinged through. Nice PTP and obviously went for big fee, not always a positive I know. Hope it does business nicely today. Also worth a mention that Tizzard and Puppy have a fantastic strike rate together at Aintree.

Given he’s a relation to Go Native and sired by Oscar, he’s likely to be a bit sharper than TBB. Certainly an interesting recruit but I’ll be watching only and happy to miss out on the fancier prices.

Him being 4th in the betting makes him worth chancing today then doesn't it?

I have anyway - maybe he's no good or one for next year like you say, but I'll pay to find out rather than just watch as his upside is a value bet today imo
