Or he's actually a long term plot for the County Hurdle so they're hell bent on running him over the wrong trip for a mark

      So not my only guess.

It's hard not to try and second guess the trips isn't it, even when you're aware not to tkae too much stock of them.
It's certainly confusing and maybe I'm looking into it more than I should. I'm just trying to get a better steer on Farouk as I don't care for Fantasio that much, outside of a handicap. It just seems strange that the supposed AB horse got an entry over 2m but the Ballymore horse didn't.

        • flinteur sacre has got two very positive mentions in last week. Hendo keen and geraghty says he's never had a feel of a bumper horse like him at his kempton run(twitter interview with josh Stacey today)
sounds a bit like Jamie codds ballyadam comments but it does make me more interested in him as I dont think that is total crap they are spouting

          clearly the name ins

Hendo talking up his own horse - useless.
Barry talking up a JP horse - useless.

Sprinter Sacre couldn't win a Supreme, he reached 149 as a hurdler.

He became a totally different animal over a fence.

Just on probability alone (primary school maths theory), the chances that Flinteur Sacre is better than his brother, is no where near a 16/1 chance.

I'm willing to have my mind changes, so to start, can anyone name two 150+ horses that are full siblings?

P.s. fatherjohn - you need a picture .... send me a link please.

Denman’s little brother Silverburn reached 144 and was 4th in a Ballymore. Other than that I don’t know any off the top of my head.

                Maybe 150 is a little high, I'll take 140+

Just listening to Barry talk him up on the ATR preview - he says he's "the only easier bumper winner I've ridden was Sprinter Sacre"

AND WHAT DID YOU DO ON SPRINTER IN THE SUPREME BARRY?

I can't help feeling he's putting people away?!

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not going get start laying 1/16 shots to pay my way, but really, that's just hyperbole for the sake of it. If he hadn't gone to JP I don't believe he'd be saying that.

Flinteur versus Ballyadam is the early season contest to see who can get hyped the most. I think it’s a draw at present but still all to play for.

                    Malone Road?

Flinteur for me, I'm more annoyed about him and his woeful price based on his brother. I've backed Ballyadam at 40/1 for the Supreme though so I'm biased there clearly

A P McCoy road Sprinter in Supreme and imo didn't give him the best of rides.

Haha yeah, the point is about the horse not the rider...

There is no way "a better ride" wins the Supreme for Sprinter Sacre.

16/1 is way, way too short. Let's not forget, Sprinter Sacre went off 11/1 on the day for the Supreme.

16/1 for his brother, is absolutely shocking.

Barry puts him up as his most exciting horse to follow...

                        • Barry also puts up Queen's Brook for the Albert Bartlett, acknowledging she's "not even quoted".

                          13 mins in etc

.....I know it's the wrong thread, but he also puts up Thyme Hill as exciting for the RSA (25th October?!) so it just proves to me he's not worth listening to.
Clearly another agenda OR doesn't put the effort in... either way..... in summary, Flinteur Sacre - mug bet at 16/1

Takes a mug to know a mug bet when I see one

Barry G was useless on those shows and Kevin Blake was the saving grace of it all.

Morley Street and Granville Again both won the Champion Hurdle but I agree that it's vanishingly unlikely that Flinteur Sacre is as good as Sprinter.
