It’s no secret that we’ve always liked this fella a lot. The ground was too testing for him on his debut at Navan, but it was good to see him win so well at Downpatrick on his second start. We’ll start him off in a maiden hurdle at Down Royal at the end of the month and we’re looking forward to him. He’s a horse with plenty of pace, so we’ll start him off at two miles and play it by ear from there.

Didn't EA start the same last year? Or .. was it different distance, can't remember

So am I the only one confused by the rush of bets to the supreme? For me, that GE quote leans more to the EA route.

Suppose Ferny Hollow is the issue. If they both prove to be top class novice hurdlers, you'd imagine they will be split up.

But different trainers, so wouldn't see this being an issue, it doesn't seem to be with their flat horses running in the same races under different trainers.

For all I know they could be following the same path as EA. They may have already decided they won't be going supreme. It may have not been decided at all. For all I know he could do a Malone Road and completely disappoint. Appreciate I am going against the grain a bit on this one as the general consensus on here is Ballymore, but it only takes a few mins when digging through the archive files on here to find instances where we have been collectively wrong

Tbh won't be remotely surprised if he ends up in the Ballymore though. Fame And Glory is a good producer of staying hurdlers and chasers as opposed to 2 milers, I just thought 22/1 was a fair enough price to get involved for supreme.

I am with you on the Supreme for Ballyadam thinking at the moment.

Entering him over 2M to start, and play it by ear, doesnt tell me anything other than 2M for the moment.
If he had started over 2M4F then that would be entirely different.

CP can go which way they want this year with FH, Ballyadam etc, they only had eyes for EA last year in Novice Hurdles.

You do get the vibes from Gordon that Ballyadam is his best Novice Hurdler. Samcro and Envoi were his best from a long way out and both ended up going Ballymore. I see Ballyadam following suit.

With the exception of Jamie Codd saying he's the quickest horse he's ridden There doesn't seem to be as much hype regarding him as there was the other two, IMO.

Interesting COD, I didn't know Codd had specifically mentioned his speed. In addition to Gordon emphasising his pace and saying the ground stunted his speed at Navan, maybe he will go supreme. Anything can happen at this stage

I'm pretty sure it was him that said it, maybe someone else could confirm or find the exact quote.
