Were there ant post-race comments from Henderson?
Could end up in either Supreme or Ballymore, so TWAR could be the way to go...

I missed the decent TWAR prices - now only 12/1 with WH (before boost) and 14/1 with Sky
No Hendo said nothing at all re trip in his RTV interview.

There's no PTP and no bumper runs to date, there is a possibility for sure that he could end up a Supreme horse. I liked what I saw, and will look to back him with cash out available very soon.
The bulk of Ronnie Bartletts horses are stores these days so it was even more impressive given his total lack of experience.

        • I’m guessing it was a joke that he won’t be a novice past December? (Excuse my ignorance if it’s a stupid question)

Did he mention Kempton on boxing day? That's a race I like to see a potential supreme horse in.

Could easily get three more runs in and then Gold cup.
I know some will say Why ? Blah de blah boring !

Because you strike while you can IMO and to get away with no injury or hiccup and comeback year after year and become champion in the next division is very tough.

If Coneygree can do it then this lad can too. He had 9 starts under rules before winning the Gold cup and just three chases.

Al Boum only completed 4 chases before winning also.

You don't need three or four schooling race like the one the other day.
If he is a class above the Irish novices when he goes graded over the Winter then they should definitely think about it.
              Gold Cup?

He has beaten rubbish in one chase?

Let's see him first prove he even stays three miles, let alone three and a quarter in open company. When are we likely to see him running over that distance in a competitive race?

If getting three miles was a penalty kick then the RSA would be the logical Gold Cup trial rather than running him over the intermediate trip in what is likely to be a less competitive race.

                • I backed Dusart for the Ballymore anyway, just a hunch based on today’s run & a quick look a his breeding.

Fortunately, none of the bets I staked with them went onto win. Lesson learned for me and I won't have any long-term antepost positions with these tinpot firms going forward.

A standout price like that is different though and I would perhaps be tempted (if my VirginBet account wasn't chinned!). Just got to factor in the risk that the Bookie may be gone by the time the festival arrives. If you see any screenshots of Oddschecker from a couple of years ago, it shows just how quickly these small firms come and go...
I backed Easysland at 20s for the Cross Country with Moplay last year. Luckily Betfred took over MoPlay and paid out as I thought I was going to lose my winnings. But yeah it is worth noting going forward.

I have read it twice now - what am I missing? I was replying to your mention of the Gold Cup.

To be an outstanding racehorse you need to produce at least some outstanding performances. He might be unbeaten but he hasn't produced one.

He was a bit better than Blue Sari as a bumper horse.

A bit better than Abacadabras as a two mile hurdler and better than various Grade 2 and Grade 3 horses as a two and a half mile hurdler.

And he has easily beaten rubbish in one chase run.

Any talk of running in or winning Gold Cups is very premature. He still has much to prove. At the moment he is a, maybe the, cheerleader horse for the sport.

I think he's the best horse in training and could win anything from a Champion Hurdle to a Gold Cup, depending on the route they decide to take.

Give me a novice hurdler that has produced an outstanding performance KB?

I used the word IF in two key points of my original comment.

This provides the context required when I went on to mention the 'unlikely' consideration of a Gold cup run in March.

I also provided, for context, a comparative novice chaser who did in fact achieve a win in a Gold cup. Obviously Coneygree had proven his class by beating Houblon des Obeaux

You clearly don't rate the horse as much as many others do.
You clearly don't see the same potential he is showing as much as others do.
And this is absolutely your prerogative.

However, you're comprehension is poor in this instance or you're being deliberately ignorant, IF you cannot see what I was meaning in the original comment.

"It doesn't happen very often," said Henderson, pointing out that not all siblings have the same ability. "We've looked at lots of Simonsig's relations over the years and Ronnie's words were always the same – could Maradona's brother play football?

"We've left a few behind but he was in the Derby Sale and was lovely. He's very nice and Nico [de Boinville] was mad about him."

The winning rider, not one to get carried away in the moment, was certainly smitten with the winner, who he thinks will get two and a half miles with time.

"He's just a real standout animal – a proper horse," said De Boinville. "I loved the way he jumped the last. He's very different to Simonsig – this horse is a proper National Hunt type."

                            • Is that quote about todays winner, or him highlighting jus thow unlikely it is Flinteur Sacre is actually going to be top class?

The chances of having not one, but TWO full siblings in the yard as novice hurdlers that go on to be better than their brothers is impressive.

The Maradona’s brother quote in the first half is from the Stable Tour from a few days ago,
                                He probably used it again.
Just watched the Racing TV Hendo interview he did say it again.
