Hello Fat Jockeys,

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

  • Forum Yankee - April

Thought it was about the time to start this thread up for April’s yankee.

Who wants to start us off with a nomination?

Fury Road (16s) or Monkfish (10s) in the RSA. Don't have a preference but i think they'll both show to be high class staying novice chasers next season.

....it might limit to one bookmaker but the ‘any race’ option in multiples with Hills is a consideration, especially as they can be put in a Yankee with specific race selections.

The Champion Chase might be the target for Fakir d’Oudaries but the 14-1 any race seems decent (it’s 14-1 with PP for the CC and Ryanair).

Epatante champion hurdle, certain target and defending champ at 4/1 most places.

I’ll never be crazy about getting 4/1 shots in an April yankee but you’d have to assume target is clear so just the small matter of staying healthy for 48 weeks.
Personally I’d prefer to know for sure that this seasons top novice hurdlers are all heading over fences but that’s just my preference

Agree it’s fairly short, but we do have a horse that has missed the last 2 festivals in the first yankee at 5/1 roughly?

A defending champ with a certain target is a better choice imo.

Mixing up couple higher priced assumed targets with a couple of certain targets is probably best this far out.

I’ve done this exact trixie already lol.

Fair point Craigy re Chacun, I haven’t done the March yankee yet so wasn’t aware/forgot he’d been included...

Of course I forgot, you prefer 5 x 25/1 shots in your multiples lol

The turn around of samcro from trailing behind Faugheen to banging through the last fence to win the marsh was impressive how Gordon managed to turn that horse around I never know thoughts on Ryanair 10/1 can’t see gold cup being his thing although he was the messiah at one point

Loved the minders celebrations after the victory could tell he had a few bob on him boy went mental

                          Minella Indo
                          Gypsy Island.

I’d say Ballyadam for the Ballymore but it’s going to bring about a Ferny Hollow argument, so I’ll stick with the top two.

If we’re going each way, then Captain Guinness for the Arkle and A Plus Tard for the Champ Chase.

Ballyadam pretty much the most over-hyped horse of the year so far? Even his winning RPR would have only seen him finish 7th at Cheltenham.

Gypsy Island is a good shout Patriot.

Big fan of her and the Mares Novice looks the obvious race
