Crowdfunder - Fat Jockey Forum upgrade

Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

All slips/bets placed are checked internally I'm pretty sure of that.

They would pay out at 14/1, it only becomes a real issue if they attempt to void the bet entirely in which case you lodge a complaint and the regulator goes through the detail.
If they pay you at 14/1 you have a whinge and write to the Racing Post but that’s about it...

Yes, when slips are passes through the system they are allocated a code/bet reference as your online bets are, if they spot the error they will flag every bet ref the error relates to so the machine flashes a warning up when you attempt to collect.
At least that’s how I understand it...

So no point taking for example 20/1, because you are going to get 14/1 anyway?

Like Lobos’s court case, surely you cannot advertise 20/1, confirm and sign off for you at 20/1 and then when you collect your winnings that it was really 14/1 all the time.
That sounds like some regulations under Consumer Rights being breached, for sure, on false advertising.

Also you could have possibly gone elsewhere and got 16’s, 18’s or 20’s, not 14’s.

I would assume that’s the case SW unless there was a special promotion Hills had at the time, no idea.

Result from my case stated if the price was looked up, added to slip and signed by staff then I'd have been paid out. That's exactly the process I went through today so I will expect to be paid in full this time.

Thought that’s what you think that the outcome would be following your own experience with previous bets.

Incidentally, were the prices you got for your bets that ended in dispute/court massively out of line with the prices that the bookies said they should have been on the date you backed them?

It wasn’t like Leicester City’s 2016 Premier League win at 5000/1 pre season, and you got that, instead of 2/1 in April 2016, with four games left?

Took 8/1 they said odds at time were 4/1. I could have got 6/1 in another shop which I argued but I lost that as well. It was unfortunately a big double and meant £900 difference. Live and learn.

                      Update on notable changes:

                      Supreme:
                      Ferny Hollow 10/1
                      Ballyadam 20/1

                      Arkle:
                      Shishkin 4/1

                      Champion Hurdle:
Abacadabras 7/1 (though OC still says Boylesports are offering 10/1)

                      National Hunt Chase:
                      Aoine 25/1
                      Galvin 25/1

                      Marsh:
                      Envoi Allen 3/1

                      Ryanair:
                      Allaho 12/1
                      Defi du Seuil 16/1

This hasn't captured all changes just the notable ones, there have been several horses that have entered markets that weren't previously quoted, these too have not been captured.
The first post lists the prices as at March, these remain for reference...

Princess Zoe has to be the biggest price drop of the lot.....66/1 to whatever it is now.

Ista that Boyles is an oddschecker glitch. It changes like that quite regularly!

She wasn't originally quoted Lobos so isn't tracked against prices quoted in March...

I did think that BB but thanks for clarifying...
