    I agree

Hard to play 8/1 at this stage though

Find it hard to crab Lostintranslations ambitions for the Gold cup when arguably his 3 best performances have been at 3m+, being the Mildmay, the Betfair Chase and then the Gold cup itself, he will be single figure odds come March for the Gold cup, Needless to say I’ve already taken the 14/1 currently available, this horse only has one target

I'm not trying to crab LiT he's one of my favourite horses and his GC performance was high class. However the way he was outstayed up the hill by the front 2, I just don't see a way, barr jumping errors, he can finish in front of ABP this year. Watching the race back he travelled through the race like the winner, just got outstayed up the hill. To me that was a performance that screamed ryanair. I know most dont agree with this, tizzard probably being one

Understand where you are coming from but could be argued that he came to the festival after being pulled up in the king George and subsequently having a breathing operation, on top of that we all know Tizzard had zero form at the festival so there’s a few reasons to believe that with a better prep run and the stable in form he could turn around a length and a half defeat, it’s not like he didn’t stay the trip

I agree that the Gold Cup could be a step too far, but I suspect the easier 3 miles of say a King George might just be his ideal. (Ps I know he got beat out of sight in the race last year!)

Confirms Shishkin is going chasing too after a slightly ambiguous ATR stable tour last week.

Still no mention on whether Champ went to Henriatta Knights over summer to brush his jumping. Would be good to know as he would undoubtedly be even better if his jumping improved.

                  • Could be an early test for Gordon’s thoughts that Fantasio D’Alene could be an Albert Bartlett horse.

He has an entry on Friday 4.53pm Sligo in a 3M Maiden Hurdle, along with Grangeclare Native for the same owner/trainer.

The Gigginstown House Stud-owned winner is now set to tackle Grade One company at Fairyhouse, as Meade explained.

He said: “From the first day he arrived in the yard we’ve just loved him.

“Michael and Eddie (O’Leary) thought he should stay over hurdles and I was happy to agree. He’s more than justified the decision now.

“They didn’t go much of a gallop there, but Sean said he was cantering at all stages.

“The Hatton’s Grace looks the obvious race for him and we’ll see how it’ll work.”

He'll be taking on Honeysuckle in the Hattons Grace.

It’s going to be fascinating to see how he gets on. Looks set for a good season. Very much looking forward to Cedarwood Road’s reappearance too.

If he finishes within 10 lengths of her he will have done seriously well. Yep, really looking forward to CR too. His Naas win looks top class now.
